Zakar stared at the interface in amazement and suddenly the holographic interface displayed three red spots coming in his direction.
"Probably my Team mates." he muttered, walking towards the direction on his map.
It didn't take him long to meet them. They were already together waiting for him. A tall handsome guy surrounded by two beauties.
One of the girls was shorter with long purple hair and the other purple hair and taller. Zakar had in mind that the shorter one would be Myia since it was kind of common for the short ones to be weaker. While the taller would be Sera.
"So you are the D rank on the Defense right?" Justin asked almost harshly.
"Uhm. Yah. Nice to meet you." Zakar said and stretched his hands towards him but Justin smacked it away.
"Look buddy. I would not entertain the weak. Especially a man being weak. I can't afford to protect you. If you bring this Team down you will die in my hands." Justin retorted.
Zakar stared at him surprised. They hadn't been given their mission yet and he was already concerned about loosing? From their orientation, they hadn't been given a specific goal. No rules. No regulation. No code of conduct. Just a damn briefing. A useless information.
And to see that Justin already dispised him for his weakness was a marvel. They hadn't known each other yet and this hatred? He wondered how they would cope as a team.
"Sorry if my weakness upsets you but does that really matter?" Zakar asked but he got answered quickly with a punch from Justin.
"Hey. You don't have to go fighting your team mate. That is rude of you." the taller girl said calmly as she dragged Justin back.
Zakar held unto his face as the pain radiated through his body. He was already bruised on his right cheek.
"He's too weak to be on the Defense." Justin said.
"And what the fuck do you think Defense means. For all we know there are both Offense and Defense in the description." the shorter girl said.
"Isn't it obvious. We are to attack. Besides since I was nominated as a Defensive player it makes more sense. Just like football." Justin said. Newest update provided by novel·fire.net
[Mission : Slay 20 Gorilla babies ]
The message dropped simultaneously on everyone's system interface. Zakar's eyes roamed his system in shock. Twenty Gorilla babies? That was much for a single mission.
"Hah! Too cheap. Gorilla babies! We just crush them with our powerful swords and they are dead."
Zakar tilted his head towards the direction of the speaker. A short bulky man who looked to be in his eighties. Zakar sighed and turned back to stare at his team mates.
"If we want to make it, we would need work together." Zakar said calmly.
"Work together? Haha! Words of the weak... It looks like you are gonna die before I kill you. Wish you luck." Justin said and used his shoulder to shove Zakar away.
Zakar tightened his fists in anger. If only he knew that he was a god, he wouldn't be this arrogant to him. Just because he decided to start low didn't mean he would take every insult. And in front of ladies! That was the reason he had died in his previous life. He had died trying to prove his worth to the ladies.
The words pierced into his thinking. He raised his head and saw the beautiful face of the taller girl. His heart skipped twice for a second.
He stared at her in shock. So she was the Myia. If only she knew how he had under estimated her, she would not be consoling him.
"Uhm..." Zakar muttered as he found himself stammering. Myia chuckled lightly as she noticed his face redden in blush.
"I'm a D rank just like you. I advice you focus on your motive. People like him don't like people like you..." she paused. Zakar stared for a moment digesting the words directly.
Of course people like Justin would have no reason to like him because of his rank. But for girls? No. As far she was beautiful, that did it. A smirk appeared on his lips.
"Thanks for your concern. I appreciate. In my previous life I didn't get the chance to speak to someone as beautiful as you. That fact soothes me more than whatever medicine that would have soothed my ache." Zakar said.
Myia didn't respond. She simply waved it away like she had always heard such flatter.
"OK. We have to get going. Soon we would be on a mission."
Zakar looked around to notice that the Black rifts began to glow brightly and numerous people were gathered around them.
He walked towards the rifts. Myia followed him behind.

Zakar looked up and saw the rifts widen more and swirl deeply. His eyes sparked with curiosity as he stared at it. His fists tightened hardly and deeply.
He was going for the first mission in a mysterious world. A world that hid secrets from the inhabitants. His life was going to be carved out by his survival here. But one thing was certain – he could make his life here better than his previous one. It all depended on him.
