Xiayat and Anna turned towards Fisher, especially Anna, who clearly could wait no longer. She had just heard the words of the Book Knight and furrowed her brows slightly,
"We can’t wait until morning to enter. If we wait any longer, Blake might come over!"
"There’s no way around it. If there’s Hidden Magic designed here, we can only wait for the specific key time. Hidden Magic has three methods of activation, and the other two require the designer to operate. The mage who designed this magic decades ago might not even be around anymore..."
Prompted by the Book Knight, Fisher, whose mind was stocked with knowledge, quickly thought of the method Blake had used to bury the magic here. He might have employed a time-based Hidden Magic.
As is well known, magic works by levering the world’s Reverberation to take effect. So, please consider the following two questions:
Will the world respond to magic power levering it at any time of the day?
If it does respond, does the effect always remain the same?
The answer is, while the world will respond whenever levered, each Reverberation varies in intensity from subtle to clear.
The world’s response sensitively varies with time, geographical location, and other factors, with some reverberations being enhanced or weakened under specific conditions. For instance, magic associated with the "Moon" and "Light" as Ring Heads tends to be enhanced during the nighttime. There are also magics that are enhanced during the daytime.
Extending this theory, if we design a magic that barely meets the specific time’s intensity needed, and without that certain level of resonance, it will remain hidden, thus constituting a basic form of Hidden Magic.
However, even this basic Hidden Magic requires highly advanced engraving skills, as the engraver must have a keen perception of the resonance levels.
Within all certified members of the Magic Association, only one-third can engrave such magic.
If one’s mastery of magic is higher, similar to Mr. Helsen’s level, then you can advance the Hidden Magic in an even more "hidden" direction, such as needing a specific person, or a specific password to activate the magic.
This type of Hidden Magic is generally engraved within the gaps of the world, which is why Fisher could not detect the engraved magic power fluctuations onsite. But then again, if Blake’s treasure trove were so easy to find, the Imperial Family would have discovered the magic here over the many years.
Following the Book Knight’s explanation, Fisher guessed that the library was engraved with two nested Hidden Magics.
The first is the simplest Hidden Magic, which only at daytime, through a specific physical combination mechanism, can wake up this magic, displaying a "password" to open the inner layer of magic; then, one must use this password to activate the second hidden magic that can only be opened during the daytime.
This design is very clever, requiring numerous preconditions for two layers of security, otherwise, you wouldn’t even realize the existence of the Magic Emblem.
