Gu Qingxin was seeing Bai Jingqing in such a frail and pale state for the first time, and it left a bitter taste in her heart.
She imagined that Bai Jingqing must really care about Qianqian. Otherwise, why would he go to such lengths to save Qianqian, despite being severely injured himself?
Gu Qingxin left Bai Jingqing’s ward and went outside. She slowly took a seat on a chair, praying resolutely for Bai Jingqing and Qianqian’s swift recovery.

With a helpless smirk, Gu Qingxin admitted that the chances of him letting her stay were slim. She had no choice but to obediently follow him out.
Beiming Han took her for a light meal and then back to the apartment.
The next day, Gu Qingxin woke up early intending to visit Bai Qianqian in the hospital since she also had to film an advertisement on the island that day.
“Will you be gone for two days?”
Beiming Han asked as he cradled her in his arms.
“Yes, Xiao Zirui said we’re way behind schedule. If all goes well, we should be able to wrap up in two days. Then, I’ll work on some promotional posters and stuff, and that will be the end of it,” Gu Qingxin chimed with her tone light and carefree. The paycheck was the real deal!
“And where will you be staying?”
Now this was the question Beiming Han was actually concerned about.
“The island is quite far from the city, so the plan is to stay there. However…”
At this, Gu Qingxin’s face crinkled up in frustration.
Beiming Han felt slightly relieved. He did not want her staying there. It seemed that this girl still had some sensibility in her.
“What’s the ‘however’? ”

“Hello, Qianqian, where are you? Why aren’t you in the ward?”
“Qingxin, I’m fine now. I didn’t need to stay in the hospital anymore. There were some matters at home, so I came back,” Bai Qianqian explained.
“What happened?” Gu Qingxin asked anxiously.
Nothing serious, just family affairs. Don’t you have a shooting today? You should get ready,” Bai Qianqian quickly responded.
Gu Qingxin wanted to ask if she knew about Bai Jingqing’s injury, but she heard the brief haste in her voice and thought it would be better to ask in person when they met.
Soon after Bai Qianqian hung up the phone, Gu Qingxin started feeling uneasy.
She stared blankly at her phone for a while before Xiao Zirui’s call came in, urging her to come to the studio and reminding her that delays were not going to be tolerated anymore.
