"You might want to die, but I don’t want to get my hands dirty. Besides, committing a crime over a woman like you just isn’t worth it." Tristan Grayson’s eyes were bloodshot. He felt that every time he was with this woman, she had an uncanny ability to infuriate him to the point of explosion.
"Hah... That’s right... Young Master Grayson is so high and mighty... Why would you ever use those precious hands of yours to kill a woman like me..." ’So he thinks even killing me would dirty his hands.’
’She felt that if she stayed with Tristan Grayson any longer, even if he didn’t kill her, this heart-wrenching agony would kill her sooner or later.’
Her face deathly pale, she struggled to push him away. The places he touched her felt bone-chillingly cold, and the sensation lingered.
But Tristan Grayson wasn’t about to let her get her way. He tightened his grip, locking his hands firmly around her waist. Lowering his head, his eyes narrowed dangerously as he said coldly, "Good. As long as you understand."
"I understand... Of course, I understand..." Her heart trembled, and her face couldn’t have been any paler.
As Tristan Grayson looked at the pale, bloodless face before him, a strange pang of... something stirred in his heart. It felt like pity, and the complex emotion unsettled him.
He raised his hand to her face, but his gaze lingered on her lips.
Images of their passionate night together flooded his mind. As if he’d lost all control, he lowered his head and kissed her.
"Mmph—Tris...tan... what are you doing..." As his mouth suddenly covered hers, Mika Summers’ eyes flew wide with terror. She struggled, pushing against his chest.
Shoved away, a dark flush flashed across Tristan Grayson’s handsome face. Then, as if nothing had happened, he turned and walked toward the sofa.
"Tristan Grayson, you’ve gone too far!" ’He just kisses me and doesn’t even offer an explanation?’
’Does he think he can just humiliate me whenever and wherever he pleases, all because I like him?’
Apparently, Tristan Grayson hadn’t expected this woman to be so unappreciative. The anger that had just subsided flared up again. He spun around and shot back, "Gone too far?"
"You kissed me. How is that not going too far? Tristan Grayson, don’t you forget, there’s nothing between us anymore." ’They had no relationship now, so he couldn’t just humiliate her like this.’
’A kiss is going too far? Then what about last night? Wasn’t last night far crueler to her, then?’
At that thought, Tristan Grayson strode to her side and swept her into his arms. "So this is going too far? Then I’ll have to show you things that are even worse!"
’Even worse things??’ Now, she was truly frightened. "What are you doing? Tristan Grayson, put me down! Put me down right now!" She struggled to get free, but Tristan Grayson held her in an iron grip, carrying her toward the bedroom without loosening his hold.
"Put you down? In your dreams!" Tristan Grayson sneered, carrying her into the bedroom and kicking the door shut behind them.
"Bastard! You absolute bastard! You... you can’t do this to me!" She didn’t know what "worse thing" Tristan Grayson had in mind, but she knew it was nothing good.
The words had barely left her mouth when Tristan Grayson unceremoniously tossed her onto the bed. Squeezing her eyes shut in terror, she screamed, "AHHH!!!"
"Shut up!" Tristan Grayson barked, frowning as he loomed over her and pinned her to the bed.
"Wh-what are you going to do?" she asked, on the verge of tears.
