Doubt still lingered in the eyes around him.
Levos couldn't explain and didn't have the time.
Kibito's stern face showed confusion, but he still nodded. "Understood."
With that single word, he hoisted Supreme Kai Shin and vanished.
Levos let out a slow breath.
He called Majin Buu over to heal the fusion of Bulma and Android 18, then signaled the two double-assimilated Cell Juniors to put on the Potara.
At the same time he raised a colossal barrier. "Listen do not release any ki."
Both Juniors nodded, solemn as soldiers.
They each clipped on an earring.
Boom
A brutal surge flared and died smacking against Levos' shield. The shockwave rippled out but, thanks to the warning, stayed within bounds.
The moment the Super Cell Junior stood before him, Levos pressed a palm to its chest.
Vmmm
Light poured over them. The Super Junior vanished inside it.
When the radiance thinned, only a pair of earrings remained on the tiles and Levos, eyes shut, weighing the result.
As expected no multiplier. You can't "bug" Cell Max with assimilation alone.
But I did inherit the Super Junior's full power. My base just jumped to roughly two thousandfold.
He opened his eyes, calm as still water.
"Yes, I've regressed from Ultimate Cell Max to Perfect Cell Max but it hardly matters."
"Regression or not, my strength leapt massively."
"And if I want to progress the Genetic Route again, I can still absorb other artificial lifeforms."
"There's that inmate in the Galactic Prison Seventh Sensory he'll do nicely. After we end this crisis, I'll track him down."
Next, Levos had the remaining Juniors continue their merges.
When it was over, he had two assimilated Juniors and one fusion Junior. That left three all told.
"Piccolo merge with this assimilated Junior."
"Majin Buu devour the other."
They stepped forward without hesitation.
Two vast power signatures flashed and vanished, neatly suppressed.
Piccolo stared at his hands, stunned by the force coiling in his body.
The last fused Junior Levos assigned to guard the temple.
Preparations made, he was ready to settle things with Rose Broly. As he took off, their allies called blessings after him.
The three of them sped for the battlefield…
Out over the shattered land, Rose Broly raged like a storm.
Vados moved with effortless grace.
But the moment Levos saw her, his heart sank.
Rose Broly had found her weak point.
He didn't attack Vados directly; instead, he kept forming planet-busting spheres and hurling them at the ground.
Vados had to crisscross the air, intercepting blast after blast.
The instant she spotted the approaching trio, she let her hand fall.
Her phoenix eyes skimmed Levos; a faint smile curved her lips. "Mr. Levos, you certainly took your time."
"Forgive me, Lady Vados. I owe you. From here, let us handle it," Levos answered.
Truth be told, he no longer dared let Vados engage.
Maybe it was his imagination, but her body looked a touch translucent
the first sign an angel was nearing erasure.
(Among the rules of Super, if an angel fights in earnest, they cease to exist.)
He didn't know if there was any way back from that.
Thankfully, it didn't look dire yet and he could read nothing from Vados' serene face.
Rose Broly saw Levos and his features twisted. "Damn you. What did you do to the other two me?"
Levos didn't bother with words. He shifted into Mechanical Form.
The multiplier on that form felt a bit diluted now
but raw power wasn't the point.
He needed to strip Rose Broly of the ability to fight before he could self-destruct, and he needed the precision that only Mechanical Form gave.
And with his strength spiking so suddenly, mastering control came first.
Rose Broly roared and charged blindingly fast.
Levos met him head-on. Their collision rang like a planet dying.
Concentric shockwaves chewed the air to tatters. In the next instant they vanished into subspace.
"Perfect. I still don't know how this pocket works, but the battle ripples don't leak out."
Last time they'd been evenly matched, and the Sacred World of the Kais had nearly come apart.
This time Levos' power was at least two thousand times what it had been
and they were fighting where nothing outside could break.
Rose Broly dove again.
Levos stopped holding back.
With a cold shout he swung his right arm.
Shnk.
His fist drilled through Rose Broly's chest in a spray of blood.
Rose Broly's eyes went wide with disbelief.
The bug he could squash without thinking a moment ago had just punched a hole through him?
"How could a mere human wield power beyond gods?"
Levos only smiled.
He drew back and punched again.
Crack
Nose shattered. Cheekbone caved. Rose Broly howled.
He lashed out in fury, trying to drive Levos back
but every strike met empty air.
Moments later, Levos had fully settled into his new strength.
Realizing the chasm between them, Rose Broly gathered everything for self-detonation.
Levos put him to sleep with a single, casual punch then sealed him inside a vessel with the Mafuba.
Outside, Vados' gaze seemed to pierce the layers of space.
"Surprising," she murmured. "His command of power carries a hint of the angels' way. How interesting."
Her eyes slid sideways; a teasing smile touched her lips. "Lord Champa, it seems a mortal from Universe 7 just surpassed you."
Space split. A purple silhouette stepped through.
"Tch." Champa clicked his tongue. "And what of it? I'll grant he's impressive, but he hasn't reached a god's realm. Besides, he's Universe 7's problem. If anyone should be sweating, it's Beerus."
"Oh right." Vados lifted her staff as if recalling something. "Grand Zeno has learned that the Destroyers of Universes 7 and 10 have… gone missing. He's very displeased. He mentioned erasing both universes."
Champa's eyes flew wide. "What? That's… why didn't you say so earlier?!"
Vados narrowed her eyes and tipped the staff toward him. The orb at its head glowed with a cool blue halo.
"I only just received the message."
Champa folded his arms, thinking hard. "This… is trouble."
