Mabel Quinn had a slight thought in her heart, and Evelyn was already standing up enthusiastically, approaching Kyle Kinston, "You must be President Kyle Kinston. I’m Evelyn, Mabel’s good friend!" Evelyn said, then jokingly added to Mabel, "You really are something, dating someone like President Kyle, and never saying a word. You must be afraid we’d snatch him away."
"How could that be? If he’s mine, no one can take him away, and if someone could, then he wouldn’t be mine." Mabel replied.
Kyle’s lips curled up slightly as he wrapped an arm around Mabel’s shoulder, "So, do you say I’m yours?"
That look, eyes like shimmering waves, that tone, as refreshing as orchids, how could such a man be described as just charming or handsome? Especially today, wearing a light beige casual outfit, he seemed less formal than usual in his suits, exuding more of a lazy and sensual vibe.
Mabel’s face instantly turned red, glaring at Kyle. Come on, there are people around! How was she supposed to answer that!
Kyle’s overwhelmingly sensual presence left both Alice Conley and Evelyn dumbfounded. They had never seen this side of Kyle Kinston.
Fortunately, Alice finally jumped in, allowing Mabel to temporarily avoid the question. As for Evelyn, her expression turned slightly awkward; her initial comments were meant to tease Mabel a bit. Who would have thought Kyle would react like that?
Alice introduced herself to Kyle, then added, "This is my boyfriend, Archibald. Just like us, he’s also freshly graduated from his senior year, previously studying finance at M University."
Archibald also stood up warmly, exchanging pleasantries. Of course, his focus was on pleasing and being cautious around Kyle Kinston.
Mabel could understand, after all, given Kyle’s status, ordinary people would find it hard to act normal around him.
"By the way, Evelyn, where’s your boyfriend?" Mabel asked.
"I had an argument with my boyfriend a couple of days ago and we broke up. But I didn’t want to affect the gathering, so I didn’t mention it," Evelyn chuckled.
After everyone sat down, Evelyn looked at Mabel’s outfit, a light beige long dress with a thin brown-golden belt around the waist. Even though her face was fresh and unadorned, Mabel’s fair skin made her look like a lotus emerging from clear water.
Evelyn, who often read fashion magazines, naturally recognized that Mabel’s clothes were all brand names and quite expensive, things she wanted but couldn’t afford.
Evelyn couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy; Mabel used to wear all thrift market stuff, so whenever they’d stand together, Evelyn always felt a notch above. But now, that sense of superiority had vanished.
"Mabel, when did you start loving brands so much? I remember you used to say comfort in clothing was more important than labels. But now that you’re President Kyle’s girlfriend, you seem like a completely different person," Evelyn remarked, though her tone carried a hint of sourness.
"I’m the one who told her to dress this way," Kyle said, lazily glancing at Evelyn.
