"I always feel that today’s Director Harris is a little different from usual."

Daniel Harris seemed almost to welcome everyone, drinking one glass after another.
Mabel Quinn stepped out into the corridor for a breath of fresh air and made a call to Kyle Kinston, "Kyle, I’ll be back late today. The wrap party isn’t over yet... You don’t need to come pick me up. I don’t even know when it will end. I’ll just take a cab home when it’s over... Mm, okay, I understand."
After ending the call, as Mabel Quinn was putting away her phone and turned around, she saw Daniel Harris standing right behind her. It was unclear how long he had been there.
Awkwardly, she bit her lip and lowered her head, intending to walk past him.
But just as she was about to pass him, his hand suddenly grabbed her arm. In the next moment, Mabel Quinn felt herself being forcefully pushed against the wall beside her. Her back hit the cold wall, causing a sharp pain.
Before she could even react, a warm breath mixed with the smell of alcohol was already sprayed across her face.
"Mabel Quinn, why do you have to mess up my life so much?" Daniel Harris growled lowly, his beautiful eyes showing a hint of struggle and pain.
He had clearly told himself not to care about this woman, yet he found himself unable to discard her like she was nothing. Everyone said he came to the wrap party for Grace, but only he knew that he came to see her one more time.
Yet, not seeing her made him anxious, and seeing her only made him more restless.
Mabel Quinn furrowed her brows, placing her hands on Daniel Harris’s chest, trying to push him away, "I don’t understand what you mean, Mr. Harris."
"Mr. Harris?" He suddenly sneered, "Mabel Quinn, don’t you want to get close to me? Don’t you want to rekindle our past relationship? So why do you keep calling me Mr. Harris?"
As he spoke, he clasped her hands, interlacing his fingers with hers, and pinned her hands against the wall.
Mabel Quinn panicked. This posture made her uneasy.
"Daniel Harris, what exactly do you want to do?"
His eyes were hazy, tinged with a drunken glaze, "You want to get close to me, don’t you? Fine, I’ll let you. You don’t need a poor excuse; I’ll fulfill your wish, no matter what your intentions are. Just say it, okay?" His mind was in turmoil, his restlessness could seemingly only be calmed by her.
His eyelids drooped slightly, his head lowered slowly; as his lips were about to meet hers, Mabel Quinn turned her head to avoid his kiss, "Let go of me, you’re drunk!"
"Drunk?" He sneered. Perhaps he was indeed drunk, but it was intentional, "Mabel Quinn, you already have Kyle Kinston, so why do you still come to stir things up with me?"
"I didn’t come to provoke you!" she replied.
"You did." His lips touched her cheek, and a sigh escaped from his throat, "Since back then you were also in Drumbeat Village... why did you see me as a burden, a piece of trash? Just because I was blind... because I was Isaac Zimmerman? And not Daniel Harris of the Harris Family?"
Mabel Quinn trembled, her gaze returning to Daniel Harris, "Since you’ve already made up your mind about a certain fact, why do you still ask me?"
