Just when Owen Finley thought Daniel wouldn’t answer him, Daniel’s voice suddenly emerged, soft and spectral. "Back then, when I could see, there was one person I most wanted to find. So after I firmly established myself in the Harris family, I went looking. But that person had long since left the original village. I continued tracking down clues, and after much difficulty, I found that person... or so I thought. "I’m really foolish, aren’t I?" Daniel murmured. "All these years, I’ve finally got the Harris Family under my control, thinking I saw everything clearly, but I never imagined I’d been played for a fool all along."
"Since you’ve realized you mistook someone else, you just need to find Mabel Quinn and clear things up," Owen consoled.
But Daniel’s face showed a trace of desolation, a deep anguish spreading in his eyes. "It’s no use. I’ve made too many mistakes. Again and again, I didn’t believe her, and now, to her, I’m just a stranger."
Owen suddenly found himself at a loss on how to comfort his friend.
Suddenly, Daniel’s phone on the bedside table rang, but he showed no intention of picking it up. Seeing this, Owen walked over and answered it for him, "Mr. Daniel Harris is not available to take your call right now. May I ask what it’s about?"
Then, after hearing the person on the other end, Owen was momentarily stunned. He looked up at Daniel, "The CEO from Morningstar called, saying Mabel Quinn is at the Corporation processing her resignation..."
