Extra Demon: Sacred Academy of Light Chapter 159

The sweet melody expelled golden halos that moved as if they were alive, trying to expand as far as they could. As time passed, the golden particles that emerged from the dead dragon spread, and the enormous body was slowly torn apart. The particles...

"Is it the soul of the dragon?" I asked, slowly approaching Professor Emilia, who was with her arms crossed, staring intently at the small trumpet that trembled slightly as she listened to the sweet melody that grew louder, and the golden halos expanded with greater force, desperately trying to leave the room.

"This girl..." The professor sighed and clenched her fists. She looked me in the eyes. "What do you feel when you hear this melody?" she asked, her eyes glowing.

"I don't feel anything... or at least I think I don't, but it's pretty terrifying." Arthur sighed to himself. Although the melody made your mind and soul feel at peace, deep inside, he felt a small light, white as snow, trying to completely change his being.

"It's normal, but..." Professor Emilia bit her lip. "If this continues, that thing will awaken completely." She looked fiercely at Elizabeth, taking a moment in silence. "To answer your previous question, yes, those particles coming from the dragon are its soul, which is being sucked by that thing." The professor seemed to feel disgust toward the trumpet of the apocalypse.

Elizabeth noticed the professor's fierce gaze, approaching with a slightly awkward smile. "Don't worry, everything was under control!" She placed her hands on her hips and pointed at the walls around her. "Why do you think Brynthia brought us to this place?"

"Because of that dragon," Arthur pointed at the poor dragon, whose massive size was shrinking drastically, its flesh also reduced to golden particles.

"Yes, besides the dragon, this room is not normal; it's covered with sacred protection runes."

"She's right, there's no need to worry. Even if it's trying to awaken, it won't be able to," she pointed at the trumpet in the center of the room, surrounded by all the particles. In particular, the trumpet began to shake violently, and the sweet melody started becoming chaotic and erratic.

"Ugh!" Elizabeth let out a groan, smiling as she wiped the red blood with golden tones from her nose. "It's pretty rude and persistent," she frowned while staring at the trumpet.

"Are you okay?" Professor Emilia looked at her, one eyebrow raised, a hint of concern in her eyes. "I can help if you want."

"No, I'll be fine, besides, it's useless for you to help. If you do, it'll get much more aggressive." Elizabeth smiled as she wiped all the blood from her face.

"For a moment, I thought you were trying to awaken it," Arthur sighed with relief. If that were to happen, the other trumpets would appear one by one, and the "Apocalypse" would begin. It's said that once the seven trumpets fully awaken, the seraphs sealed inside the nephilim would also awaken, along with the trumpets. After all, the seven trumpets are part of the seraphs' souls, just as the demon princes are linked to human sins.

Since demons are the easiest to control due to the massive human population on Earth, the weight of the seven sins becomes much smaller.

"I'm not that crazy, alright!" Elizabeth pouted, clearly offended by the comment, but in the end, she let out a small giggle. "It's too soon," she said, her eyes glowing. Her eyes stopped glowing as she looked at the small trumpet. "It's starting its last chance! Now! This is the best moment, hurry Brynthia!"

"You don't have to say it twice!" Brynthia quickly moved to the opposite side of Elizabeth, with the two standing at the ends of the divine trumpet.

"Arthur, get right under the trumpet! There's no time! If you want it not to hurt like hell, you better listen!" Although Elizabeth's voice sounded urgent, the big smile on her lips betrayed how excited she was.

Arthur obeyed Elizabeth's words, positioning himself beneath it, raising his head to look at the small trumpet. It stopped trembling, and the golden halos stopped spreading throughout the room, trying to escape. Apparently, it realized it was futile. Now, the halos formed seven orbs around the trumpet.

The melody stopped being chaotic and erratic, and returned to being sweet and melodious, but this time it was different. The melody was accompanied by a voice, but not just one. Voices of boys and girls came from the seven orbs. They shattered into small pieces, and from them emerged seven tiny babies. Their skin was as pale as if they were lifeless. Their eyes were tightly shut, and behind their backs were a pair of bright white wings. In their hands, they held small trumpets, which they were playing.

The seven angels were illusionary, as if they were merely an image that wasn't real, from another world. The melody grew much louder, and the seven angels slowly began to circle around the small trumpet.

"Perfect," Elizabeth smiled strangely, placing her hands on the ground. Pure white threads emerged from the ground, spinning violently around the angels, creating strange patterns. The seven angels noticed the danger around them, the melody sounded softer than before, and golden halos exploded all around. The great hall trembled completely, the floor beneath cracked, and dark energy began to merge with the golden halos.

"They're truly disgusting," Elizabeth smiled, a white aura completely enveloping her body. The white flames rose up, and the threads became much thicker than before. "Arthur, now it's your turn," Elizabeth said, as more blood began to flow from her nose.

Arthur trembled, biting his tongue, trying to shake off the damned sensation that was trying to take over his body. He extended his hands, and the blue flame came to life, going straight for the small trumpet.

The moment the flames made contact with the small trumpet... the seven angels opened their eyes and quickly focused on me.

My body staggered completely, my soul groaning in pain from their gaze. The hall trembled once more, but this time with much more force...

From the front of the trumpet, a red liquid, like ink, began to pour out. In a matter of seconds, the entire hall was completely filled with blood.
