Fu Xinheng, holding a thermos, turned around and said to him earnestly, “If you want to chase women, I don’t care who, but leave the ones who are seriously studying out of it.”
“I was just looking out for a junior,” Chang Jiawei was at once frantic and fuming, “Who says others can show concern for her and I can’t?!”
Zhou Junpeng looked at his expression and couldn’t help but feel it was justified: that’s because everyone knows you love picking up girls.
“Is that what you call looking after a junior last night?”
“Looking after a junior by asking her about the portable ECG monitor? That’s flirting, hitting on chicks!” Fu Xinheng said sternly, glaring at him.
In plain terms, was there anyone at the scene last night who couldn’t see that he was obviously planning on picking up a new girl?
“I was concerned about the equipment in my department,” Chang Jiawei scrambled for an excuse.
“Concerned about your department’s equipment? Tan Kelin offered to carry it back for you, and you refused?”
“He’s an associate senior, why make a big deal out of it!” Chang Jiawei thought of Tan Kelin’s cold face and his warning last night, a surge of anger welling up inside him, then he grabbed a chair, sat down, and said huffily, “I know what he’s up to today. “Who said I’m interested in Zhang Xiaohui? I only admitted she sings well,” Chang Jiawei turned his head, his eyes brimming with disdain.
“Go after whoever you want to.”
“No, I’m only interested in Xie Wanying right now.”
