Fatal Strike: Mercenary Road of Gunfire Ranger Chapter 468

Wayne Light, Northern Alaska, a small town belonging to the Inuit...

This remote town, nested inside a narrow bay, is scattered with around a hundred stone houses.

The local Inuit people still adhere to their traditions, living off hunting, fishing, and seal catching.

Additionally, the town’s proximity to a protected area attracts some tourists and scientific research teams each year, which helps sustain the Inuit’s livelihood.

There is no formal airport here, only a rudimentary runway built thirty or forty years ago.

An old man is responsible for maintaining the ground, and during nights or winter, he helps guide planes to the runway position to prevent accidents.

Eddie’s amphibious plane landed on the runway. The aircraft slowly came to a halt amidst intense bumps and then headed towards a rudimentary hangar that resembled a horse stable.

As soon as Mountain Eagle disembarked from the plane, he felt a chill that made him instinctively shrink his neck.

Right after getting off the plane, Mountain Eagle saw Daniel, an ATF agent, and Gray Wolf from Chi Hu, both huddling their necks near the runway.

He turned to receive the luggage passed down by Camel, and after unloading, he went up to greet Daniel and Gray Wolf...

Daniel apparently wasn’t getting along extremely well with Gray Wolf; he hugged Mountain Eagle tightly and then said, "Sir, I’m sure those military weapons are in the oil company’s camp to the south.

The camp is now under an NGO called Green Nature Foundation. I suggest you wait for me to contact ATF headquarters and let them send people over."

Mountain Eagle shook his head and said, "Waiting for them might take a week.

A friend of mine has been kidnapped by people from Jungle Ant, and I need to rescue him as soon as possible.

Trust me, their target is Dimension Card Company. They could utilize the south side to take down Dimension Card Company and eliminate them in the process.

This will all be your credit!"

With that, Mountain Eagle walked up to Gray Wolf, shook his hand firmly, and asked, "You guys arrived a few hours earlier than us, got anything to tell me?"

Gray Wolf shook his head and said, "Glasses and Rabbit are hiking towards the oil company camp 8 kilometers to the south. The road is extremely difficult, and they have just arrived there."

After saying this, Gray Wolf glanced at Daniel, took Mountain Eagle aside, and said, "We flew to Alaska and then rented a small plane to get here.

We didn’t bring any weapons...

And in this damned place, we can’t even find suitable vehicles.

It’s impossible for us to fight !"

Mountain Eagle said with a smile, shaking his hand, "Leave the weapons to me, but is it a bit too much that you can’t even find transportation vehicles?

Is that the level of Chi Hu?"

Gray Wolf grumpily said, "There are no roads here, why would the locals need cars?

Their main means of transportation are sled cars and all-terrain vehicles, but those belong to the Inuit and are essential for their livelihood. There’s no way they would sell their most important means of transportation."

Mountain Eagle knew the place was remote, but he didn’t expect it to be this desolate!

Without vehicles, when it’s time to evacuate, they will face a pursuit from Black Fox’s side, who has over a hundred mercenaries, and in the wide-open tundra, Mountain Eagle and his team would have nowhere to hide.

Mountain Eagle thought for a moment, turned begrudgingly to Daniel, and asked, "Can you find a vehicle?"

Daniel shook his head and said, "The innkeeper in town has an all-terrain vehicle; apart from that, I couldn’t find any other transportation.

Within a 50-kilometer radius, most of the vehicles and equipment are concentrated in the oil company’s camp which has been converted into a research station, where most external researchers or tourists stay.

However, I heard some news in town that starting last week, the camp was emptied, and then, people from the camp came to town trading a large amount of fish and seal meat for gasoline.

When people from town delivered goods, they saw several cargo planes landing almost 150 people at the camp’s airstrip.

This morning, while scouting around the camp, I saw the person you are looking for, a one-eyed, one-armed man, and a blonde girl."

As Daniel said this, he glanced at Camel and Eddie, who was discussing refueling the plane with the airport’s only staff member. He shook his head and said, "Honestly, I really don’t think it’s a good idea for a few of you to attack the camp..."

Mountain Eagle listened, waved his hand, and said, "That’s my problem!

Is your plane still around?

The plane I flew in can only seat four people; I need your plane to help out..."

Daniel pointed to the barn-like hangar and nodded, "My plane is there, no problem taking them, but you still haven’t told me what exactly you plan to do."

Mountain Eagle pulled out a paper map, carefully studied it, and said, "What else to do but rescue and evacuate...

Just stay here, refuel the plane, and wait!"

Daniel frowned and said, "There are a lot of people there..."

Mountain Eagle carefully looked at the map in his hands, and said, "Having a lot of people is never the key advantage..."

As he spoke, Mountain Eagle spotted something on the map, patted Daniel on the shoulder, then pulled him to discuss with Eddie...

"There’s a lake 3 kilometers east of the oil company camp. Can your plane land on the lake?"

Eddie carefully studied the map scale, estimated the size of the lake, and nodded, "No problem. The weather has been good these past few days without strong winds, so it’s not difficult to land on the lake..."

Daniel immediately understood what Mountain Eagle meant and nodded, "I have no problem with that, but the issue is how are you going to cross this tundra?"

Mountain Eagle sighed, patted his thigh, and said, "Of course, by running!"

Looking at Gray Wolf, Mountain Eagle said, "You guys don’t have a problem, right?"

Gray Wolf lifted his toes, kicked at the dirt beneath his feet, and said solemnly, "I was born in Siberia, and I’ve been running ever since I can remember..."

Anna sat on the bed, looking at the food in front of her...

Watching an East W man covered in neck tattoos surveying her body with greedy eyes, Anna defiantly said, "Like what you see?

Anna covered her mouth, feigned an apologetic look, and said, "Oh, sorry, I forgot you queers only like men."

The tattooed man’s expression twitched, and he said harshly, "I’ll come to take the tableware in 15 minutes. Don’t try anything; Black Fox only needs you alive..."

Anna flipped off the tattooed man and mocked, "Is that all you know besides ’what Black Fox says’?

I’ve seen plenty of cowardly losers like you. What can you do to me?"

Anna then stood up, scooped up the mashed potatoes from her plate, and slapped them on the tattooed man’s chest, taunting, "I’m reminding you that I’m Black Fox’s most important bargaining chip. Compared to me, you’re utterly insignificant.

What is Black Fox doing? He’s calling my father...

Do you know? Black Fox’s ability to act and see was destroyed by my father...

Touch me with your claws, and I guarantee they won’t last long on you."

The tattooed man’s neck, marked with a Nazi tattoo, twisted with his pulsing veins, but in the end, he chose to endure Anna’s insults silently, picked up the plate, and confiscated Anna’s dinner...

After the tattooed man left, Anna returned to the window, her eyes focusing on the pitch-black tundra outside. She then took out the spoon she had secretly hidden earlier, reflecting the light from inside the room, and continuously signaled for help.

She wasn’t sure if this action would be useful, but she felt she should not give up any chance to pass information outside.

The Little Dog Team’s sniper Glasses and assault man Rabbit, wearing camouflage stealth gear, approached the oil company camp under the cover of darkness...

Chattery Glasses lay in a depression in the tundra, observing the camp’s interior buildings with a second-hand civilian binoculars.

Feeling the cold in his abdomen, Glasses, holding a radio stickered with Flower Fairy, complained, "I hate cold places, my stomach feels a bit uncomfortable; what should I do?"

A few meters away, Rabbit, disgustedly glancing at Glasses, holding his radio decorated with Transformers stickers, whispered, "If I were you, I’d just try to bear it. I’ve spotted 4 sentries and 3 patrol groups, there are also dogs. In this damned place, standing up might give us away."

Glasses sighed and continued, "We’re fucked without guns, which makes me feel very insecure.

In the past, working for Mountain Eagle felt pretty cool, but ever since Thailand lost Anna, things seem to have changed.

Why do Odin and Gray Wolf have to think it’s our problem?

We didn’t even get our commission, instead, we ended up paying for the flight tickets, and now we’re stuck in this godforsaken..."

As he kept watch through the binoculars, Glasses seemed to see something. He rubbed his eyes and looked again, then frowned and spoke into the radio, "Rabbit, direction at 11 o’clock, there’s a flashing light, I think it might be Morse code..."

Rabbit turned to the 11 o’clock direction and watched for a while, then said solemnly, "It’s a distress signal, note the location of that room, Anna could very well be detained there.

FUCK, someone is refueling the transport plane, these people don’t sleep at night, we don’t have a chance..."

Glasses carefully observed the patrol’s movement patterns while speaking, "Just give me a gun, and I can take out the sentry to the north...

Their movements are very regular, too regular!

They’re probably just as afraid of the cold as I am; if we run fast enough, there’s still a chance!"

As the two discussed tactics, a crow flew over their heads, then Mountain Eagle’s voice came through on their radios...

"Glasses, Rabbit, retreat 400 meters back, we’ve arrived..."
