Lil’ Xu gently patted her shoulders and said, “Oh please, come on now, what are we? Stop saying thanks now. Back then, when you were still in school, I’ve also done the same thing by bringing you food at the main lobby downstairs of the female’s dormitory. You weren’t so cheesy back then, why are you so different now?”
Ji Mianmian scratched her head and said, “Hehe, what do you mean being all cheesy now, I was fighting for you back then.”

“Ahem.” A cough could be heard coming from within the room, interrupting Lil’ Xu’s statement, scaring the living hell out of Ji Mianmian as she felt her knees instantly grew weak while she cursed Ye Shaoguang in her heart.
Lil’ Xu could not contain his curiosity as he questioned her, “Mianmian, do you… happen to have another person… in your room?”
Ji Mianmian frantically shook her head denying it as she said, “Impossible, no way. You’re overthinking it. I… was playing a pirated game on my computer, so I’m guessing it was some online friend I’ve added.”
With that, Lil’ Xu stopped thinking about the matter, since he knew Ji Mianmian would never hide anyone in her room.
“Then… you… um, I won’t be coming in then. You should head back inside, remember to sleep early after you’re done eating alright. Don’t stay up too late.”
Lil’ Xu wanted to enter her room, however, she never invited him inside and it was already late so he did pursue the matter further.
Ji Mianmian nodded and said, “Yeah, I know. I’ll see you tomorrow then.”
“See you tomorrow.”
Ji Mianmian was extremely guilty at this moment as she dared not to stand too long in front of him since she was worried Lil’ Xu would notice her nervousness. She was more worried about what other stunts that b*stard Ye Shaoguang would pull. All she wanted to do at this moment was to return to her room to slaughter him.
As she got ready to close the door, Lil’ Xu proceeded to call out to her again, “Mianmian… I, I…”
“What’s up?”
Lil’ Xu was blushing hard as he held back from saying the ‘I love you’ that he had been saving up for all these years.
He finally replied with, “I… I’ll be working hard too! I’ll work hard to be worthy of you.”
Ji Mianmian chuckled and said, “You got it, let’s work hard together.”
The instant the door closed in front of him, Lil’ Xu brooded while hitting his head on the wall. Although Qingsi had encouraged him to confess, the thing about courage was… it was never as easy as it seemed, he… was unable to speak the words. He was still filled with self-doubt and was not bold enough to do so just yet.

Ji Mianmian stomped furiously back to Ye Shaoguang in the room. After placing the pizza and the barbeque down on the table, she proceeded to strangle Ye Shaoguang’s neck and said, “You goddamn nymph, you have a death wish, don’t you? Do you think I wouldn’t dare to kill you if Lil’ Xu had noticed?”
Ye Shaoguang adjusted his position and said, “I choked, I didn’t mean to do it. It was an accident.”
“I’m telling you Ye Shaoguang, this is the last time I’m dealing with your antics… Don’t you dare do anything stupid next time or else I’ll skin you alive.”
Ye Shaoguang laid back down on the bed. and said, “Go on ahead, skin me!”
Ji Mianmian gritted her teeth as she said, “Ye Shaoguang are you addicted to butting heads with me?”
Ye Shaoguang smirked and said, “Yes I am, I am… addicted to you.”
Ji Mianmian pouted frustratingly while desperately holding onto her fried chicken. She replied after a couple of seconds, “You a*shole, are you a goddamn pig Ye Shaoguang? You dared to eat my fried chicken, you shameless food-stealing man!”
“The pizza and the barbeque are both mine, you hear me? You are not allowed to take even a bite from my food! Leave me alone, it’s mine, it’s mine…”
Ye Shaoguang stared at Ji Mianmian as she desperately hoarded her food like a hamster. Both her cheeks were stuffed full of food as she looked extremely adorable.
