Mrs. Yue pulled Yan Qingsi to take a seat and served her the lemon water his fifth auntie had concocted.

After they finished dinner, Yue Tingfeng sent Yan Qingsi to meet up with Miss Mai.
She had not met up with Miss Mai for a long time; the other woman apologized to her.

I’ll send the schedule to Xiao Xu when I go back. These two dramas are slated to air next month, on August.
“Qingsi, I watched the trailers and clips from these two dramas. They’re good; I have confidence in them. You didn’t have a portfolio to back you up last time, and then you made the headlines because of scandals. Even if many people like you now, they would still see you as the queen of empty eye candy and scandals. Whether or not your image will change depends on these two dramas.”
Yan Qingsi nodded her head. She was well aware that she had been under the spotlight from time to time, but she still did not have a sufficiently firm reputation in the entertainment industry.
Reputation in the industry depended on box office earnings, acting prowess, ratings, and capability. She did not prove to have a single one of them. Probably some people were waiting to see her fall.
These two dramas would make it or break it for her.
“You won’t last long by relying on scandals and gossip. The key is capability and acting skills. We’ll transform your image into a beautiful one this time. Although August is barely counted as the summer holiday month, plenty of dramas are also airing during this period. I’ve spotted a few competitors. “Qingsi, let me give you some heart-to-heart advice,” Miss Mai said, tone low. “The boss is not bad. He’s really nice to you. You should reciprocate his affections too. Don’t let him be the one who constantly gives. If he doesn’t get any return, he’ll grow tired after a while.
“No matter how much a woman has achieved in the entertainment industry, no matter how many awards she has won, when she does not have a place to go home to after 40, her life will only go downhill from there.
