The man who was fencing seemed to sense a gaze upon him and instinctively turned to look back, his eyes met Gu Xiaoxi’s directly.
Gu Xiaoxi sat there quite openly.
Through the helmet, she could not see the other’s face.
But beneath that helmet, the expression transformed in an instant, and the man froze for a moment. It was during this lapse that his opponent struck him hard in the chest with a sword.

Just as she was wondering, the fencing match had already ended. The victor had removed his helmet and, laughing at the man whose focus had faltered, said, "Yi Chentian, who did you see that caught your eye? The unbeatable myth, and today I’ve beaten you for once. The beauty over there looks quite pretty; do you know her?"
Although they were some distance from Gu Xiaoxi, eavesdropping on their conversation was enough.
She hadn’t expected the man to be Yi Chentian and to encounter him in such a place.

Gu Xiaoxi turned around, her eyes meeting his squarely.
Yi Chentian, still in his fencing attire and having fenced with the helmet on, now with the helmet off, had his short hair drenched in sweat, looking somewhat disheveled. His face was as handsome and gentle as before, extraordinary in demeanor. But the slight disarray gave him an even wilder appearance, a gentle charm tinged with a hint of rebellion.
Gu Xiaoxi thought that few men could have skin as fine as his; despite having undergone harsh training, his complexion remained pale without a blemish in sight.
"Is there something you need?" Gu Xiaoxi arched an eyebrow, looking at him indifferently.
Yi Chentian hugged the helmet tighter, stepped forward, and stood in front of Gu Xiaoxi, his voice deep, "Do you have some time? There’s a coffee shop ahead; let’s sit for a while."
Gu Xiaoxi glanced at her watch, three forty. There was still time; she could still make dinner if she got back by four thirty.
"I don’t have much time, twenty minutes."
"I know, last time you saved me. I haven’t properly thanked you yet," said Yi Chentian, leading Gu Xiaoxi towards a small coffee shop nearby.
At that moment, there were already two people sitting in the coffee shop.
Gu Xiaoxi didn’t recognize them, and Yi Chentian just greeted them before taking a seat by the window with Gu Xiaoxi.
Gu Xiaoxi looked up at Yi Chentian, sensing an indescribable feeling of strangeness.
Just then, a female soldier in a short skirt came over with a cheerful smile, bringing their coffee.
