Lu Jing was so hungry that he didn’t even feel like moving. They had just drawn six or maybe seven tubes of blood from him, leaving him feeling light-headed and numb.

Combining hunger with sleepiness, he almost fell asleep for real.
It was only after the examination room doctor called out to him twice that he snapped back to reality.
