Nia Mitchell suddenly recalled something terribly important—like that lunch at noon.
It was hard to imagine someone as distinguished as him carrying a takeout box all the way back to the villa, only to find... nobody home.
"Uncle Peary..." Nia Mitchell trailed off, hesitating where she stood. He’s clearly angry. If I go over now, I’ll be annihilated, not even a speck of dust left.
Seeing Nia Mitchell not moving, Maxwell Peary’s face darkened even more.
The words had barely left Maxwell Peary’s lips when Nia Mitchell straightened up and quickly ran to him.
"Uncle Peary, what are you doing here?" she asked, tilting her head back and smiling brightly as she tugged at the corner of Maxwell Peary’s clothes.
"Hmm? Did you forget something?"
Nia Mitchell bit her lip guiltily. Did he really come all this way just because I forgot I promised to have lunch with him?
"So, have you had lunch then?"
Maybe if I show a little concern, Maxwell Peary won’t harp on this tiny mistake.
Maxwell Peary stated the truth. Nia Mitchell stuck out her small, pink tongue. No wonder Uncle Peary looks so grim.
"Then, would it be okay if I join you for lunch now?" Nia Mitchell put on an endearing act.
He’d clearly come with a dark expression, intending to give little Rabina Mitchell a piece of his mind, so when had he become so agreeable?
Ralph Perez watched the man’s expression change in an instant, finding the shift somewhat hard to accept.
"Nia Mitchell?" Ralph Perez mused for a long moment before finally calling out to her.
Nia Mitchell turned her head toward Ralph Perez. Oops, I completely forgot the class president was still here.
"This is my uncle. Uncle, this is our class president." Nia Mitchell grinned at Maxwell Peary, her face clearly pleading with him not to reveal their secret.
When she was engaged to Hendry Hampton, the school was rife with rumors, mostly about her trying to marry up. Now that the engagement hadn’t worked out, if news spread that she was marrying Maxwell Peary, she couldn’t imagine what people would say.
"So, this is Nia’s uncle, huh? I’m Ralph Perez." Ralph Perez breathed a sigh of relief. He’d initially thought there was something between them; he hadn’t expected him to be her relative.

Who does this guy think he is? Maxwell Peary glanced at the student.
"Uncle, Uncle, let’s go eat!" Afraid Maxwell Peary might say or do something, Nia Mitchell tugged hard on his hand, trying to pull him away.
However, even with all her strength, she couldn’t move the man an inch.
"Uncle Peary!" Nia Mitchell stomped her foot in annoyance.
"Alright, let’s go now."
He walked out of the playground holding Nia Mitchell’s hand. From a distance, the Principal saw this and hurried over. Young Master Peary was standing by the window of the Principal Office earlier. Was he looking at her? Who is this student? He had no idea their school had someone who knew Young Master Peary.
"Young Master Peary... you haven’t eaten yet? Allow me to host. Shall we go to the Royal Dynasty Restaurant?" The Principal blocked their path with an obsequious smile. "May I ask, this student is... to you?" Who is she to him?
When Nia Mitchell saw it was the Principal standing before them, she immediately let go of his hand.
"Principal, he’s my uncle. Do you know my uncle?"
The Principal chuckled awkwardly. "So, you’re Young Master Peary’s niece! You’re quite the joker, young lady. How could I possibly be qualified to know Young Master Peary?"
In this world, anyone with a modicum of power knew who Maxwell Peary was.
But in this world, those who dared claim to know Maxwell Peary... Heh, they were few and far between!
