It has been five years since the beautiful woman who named her Kara left the world. She used to love her blindly because her mom was her role model but here, she was, living all alone, in a foreign place just because of that her foolishness.
Her fairytale life straight off became bleak as she became the fallen princess. The Tang Family almost lost everything. Later, she inherited the royal ruby ultimately becoming the CEO as the responsibilities on her frail shoulders kept increasing. Her grandfather is still sick, her brother is struggling to make his career in the age where guys make girlfriends and go partying.
"You were ruthless, Mom," She whispered. A wave of dizziness washed over her as she struggled to stand up straight.
She pushed back the door in order to lock it but a strong hand gripped her wrist. She wanted to turn around but the person entered inside before locking the door. The weak her who was already drugged didn't have enough power to resist.
"Damn..." Tang Li cursed as the man pinned her on the wall before he pushed her face into his chest. He lowered his head before biting her neck.
A strong scent assaulted her nose. Though her senses were weakened yet she could identify that fragrance, that cologne. It was the latest one from Chanel, the only one available in the world. It was the one she stole from her brother's brand-new collection and gifted it to Mark.
Though the Tangs may have collapsed, they still lived like the royals that they are. The Tang Corporations became empty but because of their grandpa, they didn't lose their assets. Her brother never used perfumes or such things, yet he like playing around with them, studying those formulas. It has been like that ever since they were kids. So, one enormous room of the villa was wholly stocked with the most expensive perfumes from all over the world.
How could she not recognize this one? It was handpicked by her. She especially sneaked inside Tang Mansion, a few months back, to steal this perfume since she couldn't afford it and it was Mark's birthday.
"Mark? How could you..." The man lifted her little dress before roughly caressing her thighs while at the same type nibbling her collarbone.
Tang Li closed her eyes in disgust. She always had a mild OCD; she was sensitive to be touched by people and she disliked when someone touches her stuff. Yet, she was helpless when being assaulted like this. Rage flashed within herself but she didn't have an ounce of strength.
"Mm... I have always wanted to this...Kara," the man whispered while caressing her neck as he pressed his body against hers "You are too pure just like your name. Your mom has beautifully chosen it for you hmm?"
Tang was stunned, her eyes turning wide. The man was using something to change his voice, to make it deeper yet the words he uttered made her feel like a stab in the chest. She wanted to deny her assumptions, to think that he can't do this to her. Yet, she was wrong. No one except him knew who named her.
The drug inside her body worked up again making her feel feverish yet the disgust she felt was stronger.
The man lifted her hand roughly as she felt a pricking pain in her left palm. Her fingers seemed to be cut by something? She bit her lips hard in order to avoid making any sound.
As blood started dripping from her palms, her mind cleared up a bit. Her eyes flashed as she glanced at the red ruby sitting atop her ring. The ruby was not an ordinary one, it's the representation of royalty for Tangs passed from generations. It was dimly glowing even in the vast darkness.
The diamond ring looked exquisitely beautiful as it designs were selected by Tang Yichen. The man has installed a few mechanisms inside it so that she could protect herself.
He once explained how it works but she didn't pay it mind and shrugged him off saying he is being an 'overprotective siscon' again since grandfather named him like that.
Tang Li closed her eyes firmly before opening it as a cold light flashed inside them, she stabbed the man right in the eye. She won't regret stabbing her precious friend, would she? Though it was dark, her vision was blurred yet the man was so close to her and she could aim at his eye easily.
The needle did wonders as the disgusting hand trying to remove her dress finally dropped.
"You bit*h," the man yelled at her yet she didn't even glance at him while running out of her condo as the blood trailed right after her like continuous blooming of roses.
She stabbed her palm with the needle to stay awake.
"Young Miss? What happened...?" The driver was still there talking to his wife when he spotted her coming out of her condo. It has only been 10 mins as she entered inside.
What the hell in the world is going on? Why is Young Miss hand bleeding? Her steps seemed to stagger....
When he picked her up, he thought she was drunk yet it seems something isn't right with all this fiasco right now.
The driver ran towards her before helping her inside the car.
"Uncle, take me to h hospital. Keep... this under wraps... Don't even tell grandpa and bro.... It's an order, " The girl's voice grew lighter as she fainted.
The forty years old man firmly nodded his head at her orders. The code was supposed to be like this, since he is working for her, he must follow her orders, no matter what. He couldn't afford the consequences of doing otherwise.
His eyes filled with worry as he glanced at the girl. She has faced too much for someone her age.
After two hours, Tang Li opened her eyes and found herself lying on the hospital bed. She glanced towards her right side where the driver has fallen asleep while leaning against the chair. She felt warmth in her heart, the man might be her driver to other people, but he has always been a family to her.
As if sensing the movement of the girl on the bed, the man stirred awake. He immediately stood up before he respectfully bowed "Young Miss, any orders for now?"
Tang Li looked straight ahead; the warmth left her pale face as a distant look appeared in her eyes "I want to leave this place. Let's go back."
She didn't mention it but the driver understood that she wanted to leave America and go back to Beijing.
And just like that, the seventeen-year-old girl left the place without turning back. A new scar was added to her old collection. The already cold girl became more and more detached as nightmares of that certain night started haunting her.
She didn't want revenge because of the friendship she shared with that man. But from then on, she never wanted him to appear in front of her.
Though she always had mild OCD, it changed to a severe one slowly over the time.
