It was not that Yu Ming was desperate to live in that place along with the strangers. She just wanted to forge a good relationship with the boy in front of her.
The aloof boy who was oddly mature for his age, neither too arrogant or cold. To top it off he showed a good talent, it was more than good.
He managed to reach the second level of the qi condensation Realm. She had rarely seen people having that kind of accomplishment, even then most of them used external aid to achieve that level.
The first thing she checked after noticing his realm was to check what kind of odor his body was giving off. It was not that she was a pervert and liked to smell people but the natural aroma of a cultivator could tell a lot of things. She did not have to get too close to him to smell it as well.
If his Cultivation was a result of medicines then his body would give off a medicinal aura.
This aura would not usually go away unless the body is cleansed or the medicinal properties were consumed fully, which usually takes a lot of time.
Then the only plausible reason was that the boy had a high talent for cultivation or he obtained a fortuitous encounter but feeling the chilling down his spine from the stare of the boy's 'mother' she leaned towards the former possibility.
It was only natural for her to maintain a good relationship with someone like Noah. Which is why her current actions were not to rent the place but an act to apology whatever offended him and build a good relationship with him.
Yet, she used the wrong way to approach him regarding this matter!
Noah displayed an amused expression as he saw through her act but he did not mind building a good relationship with her as long as she did one thing.
"Apologize!"
His cold emotionless words echoed in the room, making Yu Ming stunned for a while. She looked at him to see if he was serious or not.
"What?"
"You heard me! Ever since I have entered this room. You have done nothing but flaunt your body and pass off seducing remarks."
"So you only amount to this much? Using your body to make people do your things. Then you must fear female customers you cannot manipulate."
"Do you think that just because your tactics worked on a few people it would work on anyone. Not only did you dare to seduce me but you even had the galls to manipulate me."
"There is one thing that I hate the most in my life and that is manipulation!"
"So apologize now!"
Noah's words sounded more like venting off more than complaints but Yu Ming did not notice that she just blankly stared at the boy in front of her.
Each of his words pierced her heart, stabbing her to the core. She could not remember when was the last time she was the last time someone other than her mother reprimanded her let alone show this much anger and disdain.
After the death of her father, her mother raised her alone while taking control of the whole clan. Her mother was also beautiful, even more than her but she never used her beauty to get something she wanted or even make other dances on her fingers.
After she found out that people were ready to go various lengths to fulfill whatever she wanted if she could give them a little hope, she started complaining to her mother why she did not use this method to get what she wanted.
The response she got was a sharp slap to her face. Her mother, who would usually maintain a calm and gentle demeanor near her, slapped her for the first time in her life.
Her mother did not say much or more like Yu Ming could not remember what she said because of the shock she had received that moment.
After that time the mother and daughter grew apart and she continued to use this method to gain favors but something inside of her always stopped her from going too far with her actions.
After she heard Noah's words, she felt something inside of her opening. She found herself back in the garden of her home, the very place where she confronted her mother. She saw the cold face of her Usually gentle mother as she spat out cold words in disgust.
"So that is all you could learn with all the time you spent with those people. Even when you lived with me you could not learn anything!"
"What kind of woman would you be if the only thing you have is to offer yourself to be able to stand up in life. What is the difference between you and those women in brothels."
For a second a pained light flashed through her eyes but the woman concealed it instantly and continued.
"It seems I really failed to teach you as a mother. The day we will talk again would be the day you realize what you had done. I just hope it's not too late by then…"
After coming back to herself, the first thing Yu Ming saw was the emotionless expression of the boy in front of her. Before she could open her mouth she felt something wet on the surface of her cheeks.
Touching it she realized that she had been crying all this time. The time she had lost with her mother was not because she was ignoring her but she really needed someone to open her eyes.
She took a deep breath to get a hold of the emotions that were running rampant in her heart. Wiping her tears, Yu Ming stood up.
Holding her hands together, She bowed, making her purple dangle in the air. Her actions surprised Noah a little.
He did not think that she would cry let alone apologize to him, instead he thought she would get angry at him or even throw him out of the place.
He did not know or neither cared what kind of past she had but when she tried to manipulate him, that caused some of the hateful memories to surface inside his mind.
"I apologize if my actions or remarks had offended you in any way, moreover I would like to thank you from the depths of my heart."
