Yu Ming did nothing but say the most heartfelt words she could muster to apologize. She could not but feel a sharp pain in her heart as she thought about what her mother might have felt when she came to know that her daughter was doing these kinds of things to gain benefits for the family.
Seeing her like that, Xin Yan's maternal instincts kicked in. Her eyes softened as if she was looking at a child who was apologizing after doing something wrong.
She walked towards Noah and held his hand between her own palms while gently rubbing its back. She tried to soothe whatever pain he was facing at the moment.
Seeing the warm smile on her face Noah could not help but sigh. He turned around to face the open doors of the room they entered from.
"Let's go, Xin Yan!"
Hearing those words Xin Yan sighed and followed behind without saying anything else.
Yu Ming trembled thinking that Noah did not want to accept her apology. She did even notice him calling his mother with her name in that mental state.
While she was panicking thinking what more she could do because she was genuinely sorry for her actions, Noah's voice once again echoed in the room.
"You can move in tomorrow, if you don't come I will think that you have decided not to stay with us. After that we won't be accepting any tenants."
Hearing those words, she hurriedly looked up to see his face, checking whether he was lying or not.
To her dismay Noah had long reached the end of the hallway with only his back visible to her.

When she saw his back disappearing from her sight, she waved her hand and willed for the doors to close.
Turning around she walked towards the other door inside the room and walked inside. Entering the beautifully decorated room with many luxurious and extravagant accessories, she approached the bed and fell on it like a child.
*Sobs*
Her silent muffled sobs echoed in the room for almost an hour before she calmed down. She looked up, her eyes red from all the cry and exhaustion.
'Long Tian.'
Mumbling his name in her heart, she drifted in her sleep, unknown to her there was a sweet and pure smile on her face.
A smile devoid of any seduction and scheming, Just pure innocence.
Back on the ground floor, Noah descended the stairs along with Xin and Elysia.
*Stare~*
Suddenly feeling someone staring at then Noah's attention turned towards that direction. His lips twitched seeing Ma Ning peeking his head from the end of the corridor.
Although he was scared of Yu Ning, he was also curious as to what was happening inside the room. Ma Ning made a decision to hide at the end of the second floor to see if he could spy on their conversation.
But he forgot that even though the door was open, the privacy seals in the room were still active. So none of the conversation would even leave the room.
Unable to hear anything, Ma Ning could only pull his hair in silence as he suffered from the same symptoms the readers of a novel have when the story is left at a cliffhanger.
Just as he was dying of curiosity as to what was happening inside the room, he saw the duo coming back down from the third floor and he hurriedly hid behind the wall near him.
He just stared at them from afar, he did not know why he acted like that but he did it on impulse.
Seeing the boy looking in his direction as if he was some weird old guy, Ma Ning feigned a cough and walked out like while acting he was just brushing dust off the wall.
"Oh, My~ dear guest. You are done talking already? How was your talk with the young miss?"
He came closer to Noah and asked with his eyes practically sparkling. Xin Yan's lips twitched as she saw him coming closer towards them.
She slid back a little, not wanting to deal with the old man.
"Nothing much she just apologized saying that her subordinate is incompetent and irresponsible." Noah smirked seeing the face of the old man turning pale with fright and added. "She also said something along lines 'Damn that Old Man, It looks like I have been merciful with him~' "
Ma Ning's face turned aghast while his knees gave up. His eyes looked similar to that of a dead person and a coherent word repeated from his mouth like a broken record.
"I am Dead, That demon woman will kill me!"
Ignoring the pitiful state of the old man, Noah continued descending the stairs making his way towards the first floor.
Upon arriving down to the lowest floor, he noticed a sharp increase in the crowd but did not pay mind to it.
Changing the course of his direction their group left towards a corner.
Although the building of the guild has been made at the very center of the business district, it is still inconvenient for the people to travel from each section of the guild to the other section.
To solve this problem, the guild has built a pathway that connects each of these sections. You can imagine the guild as a huge cylinder.
The first and the second floor of this huge cylinder is divided into four sections for each area or sector but the third floor is common for all the sections.
Ma Ning being the manager of the whole guild needs access to all the sections and has four different staircases to move in each section. Beside Ma Ning all the high ranking officials be it the Alchemists, weapon refiners, they all work at the second floor in their own private room.
On the very first floor there are doors in between the halls that connect each one of them to the other. Noah was using this door to travel across the whole guild.
