After the system introduced rankings, Golden Treasure Chests became the first reward for groups, giving refuge villages dominating the top places a perfect development opportunity. With Golden Treasure Chests, these top villages expand their power, increasing in numbers.
As for Platinum Treasure Chests, they seem to be exclusively his reward so far. Others haven’t opened or received one. To obtain it, one must kill numerous Lizardmen and beggars, and discover hidden paths in the Underground Ruins to get the Platinum Treasure Chest reward.
However, with the current absence of Lizardmen in the Underground Ruins, even if they tread them thoroughly, it likely won’t be recognized by the system to get a Platinum Treasure Chest.
