Despite Harry arriving early, the rest of the Potters were nearly late, meaning he had only managed a quick hug goodbye for James and Lily before the trio jumped onto the train. Luckily, Luna, Ginny, and Hermione had grabbed a carriage which all six were able to squeeze into, much like the train ride they had taken home just a week or so prior.
"So, how was everyone's break?" Hermione began, almost immediately starting the burst of excitement and information from Ginny, Amaryllis, and Luna.
Most already knew what the others had received for gifts, having met after Christmas day, but there was a period for all in which they hadn't been in contact, and that was where the differences had begun to emerge.
Luna had gone with her parents on an 'expedition', apparently the codename for a camping trip. Although they hadn't located any of the rare creatures, they were seeking it had still been a fun couple of days in northern Scandinavia.
The Weasley's had stayed home, as usual, but with all her older sisters in town it had been a week full of family festivities, merriment, sharing of stories, and simply catching up with each other's lives. The gifts had never been important in her family, just the time they spent together.
For the bookworm, her own Muggle family had met up for a small get together. Although she lacked cousins or siblings near her age she got along well enough with her aunts and uncles to have a good time regardless of their difference in upbringing. She did, however, mention that the highlight of her break had been seeing the Potters.
Harry knew, mostly, what the few days he had missed would contain for his own siblings. Not wanting him to feel excluded, they had given him a brief overview on what their family normally did during the latter part of the winter break. New Year's Eve would be spent with just them and their parents, a homecooked meal, staying up late talking into the evening before going to bed much later than they all should. On the following day Sirius would often come by with his own family, or they would journey to the Rosier household, for a much larger meal, often involving Andromeda and her family.
Finally, all eyes shifted towards him, and he gave slightly nervous smile, "Nothing exciting. Gra… Professor Riddle and I exchanged gifts, we went to an uptight, boring party, then we just sort relaxed for the last day, going over homework, training ideas, dueling practices, stuff like that."
While those unrelated nodded and began turning the conversation to the upcoming latter half of the year, Amy and Harriet looked rather unhappy with his answer. With as much discretion as he could muster, given the circumstances, he mouthed a 'later' before turning to the other occupants.
It was in that moment, with her eyes full of innocent intrigue that Luna Lovegood, once again, turned Harry's world upside down. "So, how was the sex?"
Hermione's jaw promptly dropped, Harriet looked ready to run from the carriage, Amy's face was as bright as her hair, and Ginny…
"LUNA!" the youngest Weasley promptly exclaimed, earning her a confused glance, "Y-you can't just… that isn't… you don't…"
"Why not?" she pressed, voice just as calm and curious as her previous question. "You wanted to ask too and I'm sure Hermione was curious."
It was Ginny's turn to look as though she wanted to either hide or bolt from the conversation. "You just… can't ask a boy… anyone something like that! It isn't appropriate!"
Those wide blue eyes blinked a few times before she nodded slowly in understanding, "Oh, of course my mistake." With that she turned back towards the three Potters and Harry immediately knew whatever she was about to say wouldn't make anything any better. "I asked out of order. What does Harry look like naked?"
This earned sputtering, coughing, and choking from the other five children.
"LUNA!" Hermione nearly screeched, "That is also inappropriate!"
Her face turned towards the bookworm, "But I thought everyone wanted to know? Ginny talked to me about it over break." The blonde turned back towards the only boy, who was wide eyed in shock, while ignoring the horror on her best friend's face, "She is very curious, and I know I would very much like to see you naked as well. I'm sure Hermione does. Do you think we could this year? Since you've had sex with Harriet and Amaryllis does that mean we might have sex next? It sounds very fun and I…"
A hand promptly slapped over her mouth to cut off her speech courtesy of a trembling Ginny, who Harry noticed couldn't look anyone in the eyes.
Hermione, along with the two sisters, seemed to be caught between dying of embarrassment and strangling the blonde.
