The night burned with the fires of war. Gunfire and explosions echoed through the ruins of the old refinery as General Viktor "Bloodfang" Kruger pushed forward, his muscles tense, his skin glistening with sweat and blood. His crimson beret sat firm on his head, a symbol of relentless power.
The undead forces of Colonel Adrian Wolfe swarmed the battlefield. Twisted and enhanced by Wolfe's experimental virus, these were no ordinary zombies. They moved fast, fought harder, and felt no pain. But Kruger didn't hesitate—he never did.
A snarling Revenant lunged at him. Kruger sidestepped, driving his blade deep into its gut before tearing upward, splitting it in half. Another beast charged, its jagged claws aiming for his throat. He ducked low, spinning with a brutal elbow strike that shattered its jaw, then drove his combat knife into the base of its skull.
Behind him, Sergeant Darius "Hellhound" Rook roared into his radio.
"General! Wolfe's heading for the central tower—he's trying to escape!"
Central Refinery Tower – Rooftop
The metal stairs rattled beneath Kruger's boots as he climbed, his breathing controlled, his focus razor-sharp. The wind howled at the top, carrying the scent of blood, oil, and death.
And there he was—Colonel Adrian Wolfe.
The man who had dared to challenge Kruger's supremacy. The fool who had tried to outmatch him. Wolfe stood near the edge, his body twisted and monstrous, his veins blackened by his own experimentations. His glowing red eyes locked onto Kruger.
"You can't win, Kruger," Wolfe hissed, his voice warped and inhuman. "I've surpassed humanity—I am the future!"
Kruger stepped forward, rolling his shoulders. His muscles flexed, his knuckles cracking as he gripped his knife.
"The future?" He scoffed. "You're just another rotting corpse waiting to be put down."
Wolfe snarled and lunged forward.
Their blades clashed in a blur of motion—metal against metal, strength against strength. Wolfe's enhanced speed made him dangerous, but Kruger was a beast of pure combat. He dodged a wild swing, countering with a brutal knee to Wolfe's ribs. Bone cracked.
Wolfe reeled, but lashed out with monstrous claws. Kruger barely evaded, feeling the air slice just past his face. He retaliated with a savage uppercut, then a knife thrust—straight into Wolfe's side.
The colonel gasped, staggering back.
Kruger ripped his blade free.
"You're done," he growled.
Wolfe snarled in defiance, but Kruger lifted his gun—and fired. The bullet tore through Wolfe's head, splattering blood against the rooftop. His body slumped lifelessly.
Kruger exhaled, reloading his weapon. He glanced at the battlefield below. The war wasn't over.
But he had won this fight.
