How I Pampered the Tyrant Into Devotion With My Space Chapter 99

The wild boars charged at the troublemakers like they were crazy, and the troublemakers couldn’t dodge them.

They were initially packed together tightly, but were instantly scattered in all directions by the boars’ assault, and everyone fled in chaos.

Their faces were bright with panic, and the sounds of wailing and cries for help once again echoed across the fields.

Some were so frightened they were in tears, adding new wounds as they were struck by the boars.

Some were already with broken arms and legs, and now they were even more miserably covered in bruises and bumps.

Aunt Lin was the most pitiful one of all, being frail yet squeezed in with the burly ones, and now as everyone fled, she was used as a human shield.

More importantly, Pei Shu’er had sprinkled the most beast powder on her.

In the boars’ eyes, Aunt Lin was like a walking piece of juicy meat.

Stabbed brutally in the thigh by the boars’ tusks, she limped to the side, trying to run.

But wherever she ran, the boars followed.

She was so terrified and panicked, she wished she could kneel down and beg the boars for mercy.

But the boars didn’t understand her soft whining; they only wanted to toss her away.

Even Tang Qingrou, who tried to help Aunt Lin, was poked several times by the boars and finally had to stop.

Pei Shu’er made sarcastic remarks on the side.

"Don’t be afraid, we’ve got you surrounded on the perimeter, the boars can’t get out. And there are only two boars now, which is one less than the three we had before, plus they’re injured."

"You all said you could handle it, you should believe in yourselves."

After saying this, Pei Shu’er sat down elsewhere, leisurely watching them run amok.

Though they looked miserable, Pei Shu’er didn’t blink an eye.

She was used to wounds, and had no fondness for these ingrates who took more than they gave.

Indeed, it’s best to repay kindness with kindness and resentment with resentment.

Tang Zan let out a light chuckle beside her, his voice clear and pleasant.

Pei Shu’er looked up at him to find him gazing down at her.

His eyes were deep, making it hard for her to see through.

When she looked up, Tang Zan handed her a wild fruit, smiling roguishly.

Pei Shu’er thought if she had some sunflower seeds, it would be even more fitting.

At that moment, those people remembered the third household and quickly spoke up.

"Please save us, we don’t want to die."

Pei Shu’er saw the two boars getting somewhat out of control and feared if it continued, they’d escape back to the mountain.

But she didn’t want to let these people off so easily.

She propped her chin on her hand, looking on leisurely like she was watching a good show.

"If you want us to save you, as compensation, you can’t have any of the boar meat."

At first, they were stunned, and then their eyes were filled with reluctance, but the boars were too terrifying, and they had no choice but to nod and submit.

Tang Zan then walked over indifferently and dealt with the wild boars.

The two rampaging boars finally settled down.

Aunt Lin, now battered and bruised with numerous wounds, immediately accused Pei Shu’er upon seeing her.

"Pei Shu’er, this is your doing!"

Pei Shu’er looked innocent: "What did I do? Did I order the boars to target you? Can the boars understand me?"

Aunt Lin angrily retorted: "You did it on purpose. I saw what you did to the boars just now. We’ve all been hurt, and as a member of the Tang Family, you just watched indifferently!"

Pei Shu’er sneered coldly: "Aunt Lin, you thought it was fine to betray the Tang Family, but we aren’t allowed to betray you?"

"Don’t forget, you said you could handle the boars."

"Aunt Lin, I was giving you a chance to prove your abilities."

At this point, Pei Shu’er looked righteously indignant, leaving Aunt Lin furious and gasping for breath as she pounded her chest to calm herself.

After pausing for a moment, when she saw Niu Qian nearby, Aunt Lin suddenly thought of something and leaned toward Pei Shu’er.

"Pei Shu’er, if you’re sensible, you’d better give us that female boar. Then this matter will be settled, and I’ll even make these troublemakers leave."

Pei Shu’er looked at Aunt Lin with some surprise, while Aunt Lin felt a sense of triumph, thinking Pei Shu’er was afraid of her.

Instead, Pei Shu’er exclaimed in surprise: "Aunt Lin, have you gone mad? Those troublemakers listened to you before only because they also wanted a share of the boar meat."

"If you tell them to leave without the boar meat, even with your brain full of manure, you’d know it’s impossible."

"You don’t even know what chips you have, and you dare negotiate with me."

Aunt Lin was left red and blue in the face by Pei Shu’er’s retort and was just about to curse her.

Then they heard Pei Shu’er raise her voice: "Now, these two wild boars were caught by us from the third household without any help from others, so nobody has an excuse to demand a share of the boar meat, right?"

Aunt Lin was about to argue further, but Pei Shu’er coldly cut her off: "Moreover, the compensation for our intervention has been agreed upon. So none of you will get a share of the boar meat."

The others turned red with anger and said: "Pei Shu’er, stop bullying us."

Pei Shu’er responded with a mock realization: "Oh? Bullying."

Saying that, Pei Shu’er patted the boars’ behinds: "You two, show them what bullying really means."

This made those who were thinking of struggling further scared of the wild boars, causing them to retreat one by one.

Only then did Pei Shu’er sneer and say: "You agreed to the terms yourselves and still want to back out? Do you really think I’m such a pushover?"

Seeing this, the others dared not make any more trouble.

When they saw the boar meat being distributed, they were filled with regret.

They should have had five or six pounds of boar meat. Eating like that, they’d have meat at every meal for about a month.

Now, they wouldn’t even get a chance to touch the boar meat! ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ noⅴelfire.net

All they could do was envy those whose hands were greasy with boar meat.

Thinking of this, they felt a deep sense of remorse, practically sick with regret.

Why were they so blinded by greed earlier and wanted more boar meat? The division by the third household had already been generous.

It was their own greed.

If they hadn’t been greedy, they too could be eating boar meat now!

Yet Pei Shu’er felt it wasn’t enough and seemed to remember something.

"Right, I forgot to tell you, the reason Aunt Lin and Tang Qingrou were desperately urging everyone is that they didn’t help at all, so they originally wouldn’t get any boar meat."

"I think they just thought if they couldn’t have any, then it’d be better if no one else did either."

"But now, they’ve succeeded. Even if our third household wanted to share out of generosity, it was ruined by Aunt Lin and Tang Qingrou."

After saying this, Pei Shu’er sighed as if she regretted not distributing the boar meat.
