I am a Primitive Man Chapter 588

The further north one goes, the earlier winter arrives.

Of course, this is referring to the Northern Hemisphere.

In the region where the Green Sparrow Tribe is located, early winter has already descended in the northern part of the area before autumn has completely ended.

For people in this era, winter is not a welcome season.

Because the words associated with winter are cold, hunger, and death.

If possible, the people here would certainly be more than happy to avoid winter.

Winter arrives early and stays late, so for the tribes living here, storing food becomes extremely important.

Not only is there limited time to store food, but they also need to stockpile a large amount to survive the extended winter.

The pressure of food hangs over all the primitive tribes in this land. Compared to the tribes further south, those living in the northern regions undoubtedly face greater food scarcity.

Food is something every tribe takes very seriously, especially when the harsh winter is approaching.

A war caused by food is about to break out in this northern, wind-chilled land.

A large figure, holding a much thicker wooden spear than most, smiles widely, feeling extremely happy.

While enjoying his happiness, he can't help but mentally reflect on his good fortune. As he does so, his other hand instinctively touches his forehead.

Before he left today, the elderly of the tribe had marked a simple and mysterious symbol there using water.

It was a prayer to the tribe's gods, seeking their blessings to bring good luck to the tribe.

Now, the elders' prayers have been answered—the gods have truly granted their blessing, bringing plentiful food to their doorstep.

Not far from the large, muscular man holding the spear and the rest of his tribe members, several large animals covered in long fur lay dead on the ground.

Each of these animals is large and will provide a substantial amount of meat.

Around the animals, some people are holding tree branches with black, inconspicuous stones tied to them.

These people clutch their weapons tightly, and some even try to drag the animals behind them, hoping to claim the hunt as their own.

The large man’s gaze drifts over the scene before landing on the dead prey.

Despite sufficient benefits, even primitive people can become less than pure.

For example, the large man's eyes clearly show an unmasked greed.

He waves the large spear in his hand, pointing at the prey and then toward the distance before slamming the spear into the ground.

The two tribes do not communicate well through language, but the large man’s body language conveys his message clearly—leave the prey and get out, or prepare for war!

After expressing this, the large man and his followers begin waving their weapons wildly, howling loudly as they do so. Some of them even rip off their animal skins, beating their chests loudly.

This is a display of their tribe’s strength and a threat to the opposing tribe.

The large man does not believe the other tribe will dare to keep the prey.

After all, not only are they fewer in number, but their weapons are also small and ineffective. Their leader doesn’t look as strong or brave as he does.

In this situation, even if the other tribe does not leave, the large man is confident he can use his weapon to teach them a lesson, drive them away, or even kill them.

He and his tribe, led by the fierce Black Stone, look at the others angrily and fear.

These animals were caught with great effort, and now this despicable tribe is coming to steal them!

Black Stone gripped his weapon tightly, refusing to leave the prey he was guarding.

The weather was growing colder, and food was becoming even more precious. He truly didn’t want to give up this food.

Because if he gave it up, people in his tribe might very well freeze or starve to death.

Moreover, as the weather worsened, hunting would only become harder.

To have such good luck as today, where they managed to catch so many animals, would be incredibly rare again.

But if they didn’t give up, a war would happen.

The other tribe had more people than his own, and the leader appeared even stronger than him.

If war broke out, they were likely to fail, and people in his tribe could die as a result.

While Black Stone wasn’t overly afraid of death in his tribe—death was common among them—he feared losing the food after suffering such a loss.

The other tribe’s shouts grew louder and fiercer. Some were waving their weapons at them, and others were slowly advancing.

Clearly, if they didn’t retreat quickly, those people were about to come over and fight.

Angry and fearful, Black Stone gripped his weapon even tighter. His eyes fell on the sharp black stone tied to the end of his wooden club, giving him more courage.

Over the past year, they have made many weapons using black stone. The stones are very sharp and can easily pierce the thick hide and tough flesh of their prey.

Black Stone had already seen how effective these black stones were.

As he thought about the tribe’s limited food reserves, the newborn children, and the sickly members, Black Stone finally shouted the order to attack.

Their tribe needed food too desperately. He didn’t want to abandon the prey. If he did, the children and the weak would likely freeze to death this winter.

He placed his hopes on the weapons made from the black stone, hoping they would help him kill these hateful people just as they had killed the animals.

After shouting, Black Stone led the people from his tribe, weapons in hand, charging at the large man and his group, moving quickly.

The large man, occasionally swinging his wooden spear, froze momentarily when he saw this. He hadn’t expected the situation to escalate .

This tribe, which was inferior to theirs in every way, refused to leave and now dared to charge at them first!

His moment of hesitation was brief, quickly replaced by a surge of ferocity and violence.

With a roar, the large man led his followers to charge forward, eager to teach this tribe a lesson!
