Vera accidentally brushed against the man’s chest. His skin was firm and smooth, and her heart pounded in response.
With a twist of her waist, she tried to escape from the other side of the bed.
Before she could wriggle out from under the blanket, an arm had caught her wrist.
Kris Cooper propped himself up on one side. "Where are you trying to go?"
"The bed is too small, there isn’t enough room... I... I’ll go sleep..."
It was so late, and she had no idea how far his place was from hers; going home was out of the question. She would just have to make do at his place for the night. However, ’making do’ certainly didn’t include sharing a bed with him.
Before she could even suggest the sofa, her waist was suddenly pulled tight. In the next instant, he had pulled her against his chest.
Then, the man’s voice echoed in her ear.
"If we squeeze a bit, there’s enough room for two more of you."
"There are only two of us, no need to squeeze!"
She stealthily tried to move aside, inching away barely two inches before being pulled back.
This time, he held her even tighter than before.
"You’ve got me all night for a hundred thousand USD. Can’t waste that," Kris propped himself up on one arm and looked down into her flustered eyes. "Tell me, what kind of service would you like?"
"Thirsty?" Kris leaned slightly closer. "Would you like me to moisten your lips?"
She quickly covered her mouth. "No need!"
"So, do you prefer more foreplay, or should we get straight to it?"
Foreplay? Straight to it?!
Vera blinked. After a moment, she raised her hand and grabbed his raised palm.
"N... no, let’s... talk. Yes, you said you offer all kinds of services, right? I want the chatting service!"
Chatting? Kris considered. Perfect!
"Alright!" Kris’s lips curled into a smile. "Let’s have a good long chat then."
Vera watched his smile, saw the flash of his white teeth, and was suddenly reminded of Little Red Riding Hood being swallowed by the Big Bad Wolf.
She lifted her hand, intending to push him away, but seeing his bare chest, she closed her fingers and instead poked him in the chest with a single fingertip.
"Um, I’m feeling a bit hot. Could you move a bit further away?"
The man laughed even harder. "Shall I help you undress?"
She clutched her robe tighter. "No need, I’m not hot anymore. Actually, I’m a little cold now!"
"No, no need! I’m fine . Let’s just chat, okay?"
"Sure. How would you like to chat?"
There were different ways to chat?
"Of course, we chat with our mouths."
Kris nodded, then tilted his head and planted a kiss on her earlobe.
A shiver ran down Vera’s spine. She let out a shriek and scrambled to the edge of the bed.
"I thought we agreed to chat! Why did you use your mouth like that?"
The man propped himself up lazily, his face a mask of innocence. "Didn’t you say we should chat with our mouths?"
"I meant talking, not kissing."
"Sorry, I misunderstood."
Misunderstood? He was clearly taking advantage of her!
Vera raised an eyebrow.
She was the one who paid; she was the client! Why should she be bullied by him? Tonight, things should absolutely go her way!
"I’m the client! You do as I say. Now, I want you to sleep on the sofa!"
"The sofa is too small for me."
"You can sleep sitting up. I don’t mind."
That little brat! He’d kindly brought her home, and now she was trying to kick him out to the sofa?
Kris flashed a suggestive smile. "So, you like doing it on the sofa."
