Manager Wang led her all the way into the CEO Office. Tommy Taylor, who was sitting at the desk outside Kris Cooper’s office, immediately stood up and pushed open the door to the CEO’s inner office.

"Assistant Taylor." Vera glanced at the open door. "Are you... mistaken?"

Vera thanked him. Looking at the open door, she braced herself and walked in. Kris Cooper was not in the office.
"Mr. Cooper is in a meeting and won’t be back for a while," Tommy explained.
