From a distance, he heard these strange sounds. The usually pale face of Li Qingtian turned an even paler white. She furrowed her brows tightly, shooting a hateful gaze in that direction before turning to look at Tang Ye.
Watching the scene unfold, Tang Ye let a smile creep onto his face hidden beneath his mask. It seemed the woman was out of options. He was eager to know how she was going to respond.
Would she continue to maintain a calm facade?
If so, that would be quite dull. He was more interested in seeing the helpless expression on Li Qingtian’s face.
Shooting a sidelong eye at Li Qingtian who was staring back at him, Tang Ye stepped aside to make clear his position as a mere spectator.
Observing this, Li Qingtian no longer paid any attention to Tang Ye but instead confronted the group head-on.
"Hehe, pretty girl, welcome to our haven. lads and we’ll spoil you rotten. But..."
The leading man said with a sleazy tone, causing a round of laughter in the crowd. Li Qingtian’s appearance has grabbed the attention of everyone here, but none dared to move.
Initially drawn by Li Qingtian’s beauty, they wouldn’t mind watching a live-motion romance play out.
Having lived here for so long, these survivors knew the nature of these weapon-wielding men all too well—they were the type to stop in their tracks at the sight of a pretty woman. They had the audacity to commit appalling acts here because, after all, this was the Apocalypse.
No one would plead for this girl about to be violated. As for the tall "man" who came with her, he seemed formidable but turned out to be a coward, retreating to the sidelines to watch his woman being violated.
They sighed regretfully, thinking how good it would have been if this girl could have enjoyed herself.
"What are you guys up to?"
Li Qingtian sternly asked, but deep inside, she felt profoundly helpless. Thinking of her brother’s death, her heart ached as if it was bleeding. She cast a frosty glance at Tang Ye, swearing that if she survived, she would torture him to death!
Better yet, she hoped she wouldn’t find out if Tang Ye had any family because she would torture them to death before his eyes, making him taste the pain of bereavement!

The squad of survivors still laughed lasciviously, their eyes unabashedly raking over her body. The tighter her waist, the more slender her thighs, and the softer her bosom, the more excited they became.
Each wanted to be the first to defile her!
Looking at their eyes, Li Qingtian felt, for the first time, what it was like to be weak in a post-apocalyptic world. Taking an unconscious step backward, she accidentally agitated the injuries on her body, causing her to let out a small whimper and throw up a mouthful of bloody fragments of internal organs.
Seeing her sudden condition, the leader of the survivor squad stood frozen for a moment, then a look of delight spread over his face. She was injured!
But that didn’t matter. He had no morals, and the Apocalypse had only magnified his desires.
Good, he loved wounded kittens the most, and he had already imagined how he would torture this soft girl to death.
The imagination of blood oozing out while he moved gave him an excited thrill.
"Pretty girl, it seems you are hurt. Take off your clothes, and I will treat you."
Staring quietly at the man, Li Qingtian’s eyes flashed with deep revulsion. She had despised being teased like that. As a child, she had suffered enough at the hands of those troublesome boys. Those memories haunted her, and she hated recalling them.
Her parents never cared about what happened to her. "You didn’t provoke anyone, would they bother you? Reflect on yourself. We won’t help you. You have grown up. You’re not a little girl anymore." They always responded in such an indifferent manner.
Those who were blessed used their childhood to heal a lifetime while the unfortunate used a lifetime to cure their childhood.
Li Qingtian belonged to the latter category. She despised her parents to the core. Every night, she cursed Li Xunhao and his wife to die early.
These grudges had been etched in her heart for a long time. Though she felt quite relieved after her parents died in the Apocalypse, she still had to spend her whole life healing her childhood.
What she could least stand was someone speaking to her in filthy and vulgar language. Before the Apocalypse, she was helpless against these men, but after it, she made it a point to kill every such man she met!
There were many such people in the post-apocalyptic world. Her hands were stained with the blood of hundreds, but in return, it brought her mental satisfaction. She had fallen in love with this world, at least when she was superior and didn’t have to worry about survival.
But right now, she had been thrown into hell by someone even stronger.
Her life was hanging by a thread, controlled by this stronger man. Her only kin was killed by the same man. How could she not loathe him?
Her will to survive was pinned on Li Henian. Even though Tang Ye had cut her off, giving her two options, she chose to seek revenge for him rather than following Li Henian in death.
Or maybe, life and death held little importance for her. But at least, while alive, she could do some worthwhile things!
Such as killing the "man" in front of her! Taking revenge for her brother, and perhaps, then, she might find peace in death.
Given her current situation, she had no other choice. After staring at the disgusting leader for a while, she nodded in agreement. Wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth, she prepared to strip off her clothes in front of the crowd.
At this point, Tang Ye found the situation odd. The story was not unfolding as per his script. He did not like where things were heading.
Just as everyone was preparing to feast their eyes, a breeze blew by. Li Qingtian felt a hand on her shoulder. Mild strength, she thought, puzzled. Suddenly, she heard Tang Ye’s voice, as familiar as a devil’s could be.
"I can help, want me to? If not, I can step aside and enjoy the show. Hehe..."
Upon hearing that, Li Qingtian turned her gaze toward the blood-stained glove on the hand on her shoulder. She didn’t say a word, but her hands stopped moving.
Tang Ye had interrupted Li Qingtian’s actions, causing the formerly expectant survivors to sour, their tempers flaring.
"Who do you think you are? Get lost unless you want to be beaten up, got that?"
The squad leader’s face was twisted in fury as he made his threat. Tang Ye’s towering figure looked intimidating as if a new species of human, but his earlier act of stepping aside had made them underestimate him.
