Glancing at the zombified dragon engaged in a fierce battle with the Water Guanyin, Tang Ye moved forward with his knife but soon halted. He turned to look at the fleeing Bai Xinran, hesitation evident on his face.
The Water Guanyin was so massive that Tang Ye was at a disadvantage in a fight against it. Now, in his human form, he would struggle even more, especially since the only weapon he had was his blade of flesh and blood.
Compared to wielding an ordinary weapon, Tang Ye preferred the all-out wars when he transformed into his zombie form, using his whole body as a weapon. After all, it was much more convenient to be a zombie than a human.
Two gigantic beasts were battling each other in the Qulong River. The power struggle between a Level 6 zombie and Water Guanyin sent ripples through the waters, creating waves whenever they attacked.
Suddenly, the zombified dragon roared and and reared its head high. Its armored scales were falling off one by one. A tentacle wrapped around its body, squeezing tightly, and then tossed it aside. Tang Ye swung his flesh and blood blade, transformed his form into a flash of lightning, and charged forward.
Bai Xinran heard the sound of Tang Ye’s rapid approach while running. She turned her head just in time to see the Water Guanyin, reminiscent of Godzilla in the movies, smash the nearly two-hundred-meter-long zombified dragon onto the ground. The river bank crumbled in the ensuing chaos, and mud and debris rolled into the river. Nearby buildings were jolted by the impact, then collapsed.
As the Water Guanyin swung its tentacle down to attack the zombified dragon again, Tang Ye, in his lightning form, left a trail of afterimages in his wake, appearing under the feet of the Water Guanyin in an instant. He swung his knife!
Bai Xinran, being an ordinary human, couldn’t clearly see their movements. She merely sensed the flash of light and saw a portion of the Water Guanyin’s body fall off.
The zombified dragon was flung by the tentacles and went flying. Its enormous body slid and flattened any buildings it crashed into!
After yet another attack, the Water Guanyin let out a bell-like roar. Somehow it spotted a little figure standing on the bank, charging at it with a blade!
Sensing a change in the wind pressure around it, it lifted its head to see the Water Guanyin’s massive tentacle coming straight for it. But the wind resistance was too great. Though the Water Guanyin was fast, to Tang Ye, it seemed sluggish!
At that moment, the zombified dragon, tossed aside earlier, roared and ascended into the air. Although the Water Guanyin’s intelligence was comparable to that of a human child, it apparently hadn’t figured out the zombie’s weakness. It didn’t seem to know where a zombie’s head was located and had been attacking the middle section of the zombified dragon’s body all this while.
As long as a zombie’s head remained undamaged, it wouldn’t die. Right now, it had taken flight again – charging this time toward the Water Guanyin!
The zombified dragon’s huge mouth gaped open, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth. A savage look filled its pale eyes! Perhaps the Water Guanyin harbored a deeper grudge against the zombie dragon than Tang Ye, because it immediately gave up on its attack against Tang Ye. It swung its tentacle and struck at the zombified dragon instead!
With a couple of roars, the Water Guanyin’s thick and long tentacles again wrapped around the zombified dragon. But the dragon fought back fiercely, its full strength erupting and sending the towering Water Guanyin skidding tens of meters backward.
With a "snap", the zombified dragon’s bones were crushed by the constricting tentacle, yet there was no sign of pain in the dragon’s eyes. Zombies could not feel pain! Its madness continued!
Loosening its grip on the dragon, the Water Guanyin ripped the zombified dragon’s skeleton apart, as if tearing open a wound on the dragon’s head. The dragon’s mouth opened wide as it brutally tore off a large chunk of flesh from Guanyin’s head.
Although it looked like a dragon, the zombified dragon still had some characteristics of a python. Its jaw opened to form a straight line, and with a "slap", a large chunk of flesh, including a crown-like formation on Guanyin’s head, was bitten off.
A gaping hole could be seen on top of the Guanyin’s head, exposing the dark colored flesh and blood.
In terms of power level, the size of the body was related to the amount of Anti-Life Matter, not its quality. Though the Water Guanyin was larger than the zombified dragon, their quality was the same. It was just that the amounts were not equal.
Therefore, even the knife made from Tang Ye’s own flesh and blood could harm the Guanyin, slicing through its tentacles.
Seeing the Guanyin’s head oozing black and red zombie blood from the gaping hole, Tang Ye’s eyes lit up.
"Maybe this thing can be killed..."
When the Water Guanyin first emerged from the river, Tang Ye was taken aback by its massiveness. He didn’t think about killing it for a moment, unconsciously filing it away as an impossible task. However, seeing it wounded by the zombified dragon’s bite, a spark of hope rekindled in his heart.
If he could consume this creature’s evolution crystal, maybe he could replenish all his body’s energy. Moreover, this ability could perhaps evolve his clone into a Level 7 creature.
Tang Ye let out a sly smile, his eyes gleaming with greed. How would a Level 7 creature look? He hadn’t seen one before. The question of what color a Level 7 evolution crystal would be sparked his curiosity.
The zombified dragon was launched out of sight yet again, but this time into water by the Water Guanyin. The surface of the water churned as the dragon’s massive body writhed within it.
An overwhelming bloodthirst emanated from the Water Guanyin as a massive mouth slowly opened on its chest. The sight of its teeth was like the splintered edge of a broken wooden board, flat, long, and uneven.
As it roared furiously, Tang Ye felt as if the sound wasn’t coming from the mouth, but somewhere else, as if the mouth was just opening without any sound.
Tang Ye didn’t dwell on it for long, his gaze fixed on the Water Guanyin’s head. He stepped forward forcefully, jumping easily over ten meters into the air. He then landed on its tentacle and rapidly moved closer to its head.
His speed was incredible, reaching the end of the tentacle in no time. However, the tentacle had emerged from beneath the Water Guanyin, independent of the chest, so Tang Ye chose to jump upward from the highest point of the bending tentacle.
He spun around, a faint black fog clustering around his feet as he flew up with the help of the wind. Holding the blade with both hands, he hovered a few meters above the Water Guanyin’s head in a flash. An overwhelming killing intent erupted from his body and spread into the surroundings.
The red blade rotated, Tang Ye’s hands flipping over to grip the blade of flesh and blood in reverse, aiming at the center point of the large hole bitten out by the zombified dragon. He used all his strength, his arms even beginning to morph into a silvery-white color. This was the partial zombification of his arms, all for a single strike to impale the giant’s brain, piercing its brain tissue in a lethal blow!
Tang Ye gave a war cry. The moment before his feet landed on Water Guanyin’s head, the blade’s tip viciously thrust in!
As the slim blade entered the Guanyin’s head, black blood shot out like a fountain. Its muscular body wriggled while flesh began to grow slowly at the edge of the large hole bitten out by the zombified dragon, as it underwent self-healing.
The moment the blade penetrated its head, Tang Ye felt as if time had stopped, and it felt like the Water Guanyin under his feet had ceased moving.
"Did it die just like that?"
He exclaimed in surprise. But before long, he realized his error. The Water Guanyin was not dead!
