Xu Changchi’s face changed dramatically, retreating immediately while also slashing his heavy sword forward. With a "dong", it blocked the Level 4 New Human he was fighting against.
The approaching Level 5 New Human, his spirit soaring high like the midday sun, swung his black Corpse-Cleaving Blade, cutting through the air directly towards Xu Changchi’s head. Fast and ruthless!
Xu Changchi felt as if his limbs weren’t responding. The opponent was simply too fast, beyond his response capacity. Even though he could see the trajectory of the other’s movements, his body was immobilized!
Zhou Ranjun behind him prepared to save him by drawing his compound bow, but a laser shot him before he could move, piercing his large body. He was promptly dragged away by several soldiers.
Xu Changchi gritted his teeth, disregarding the Level 5 New Human, and focused on confronting the Level 4 New Human right in front of him. He sliced his blade, although the expected impact didn’t resonate on his body.
"Am I hearing a ringing sound?"
For reasons unknown, it seemed that two impacts occurred when his heavy sword collided with the weapon of the Level 4 New Human, but they fused into one sound.
"What are you doing standing there? Retreat quickly!"
A cold voice rang out, Xu Changchi turned back and saw a young man holding a Corpse-Cleaving Blade smeared with brownish flesh, preventing the Level 5 New Human.
"Thank you." Xu Changchi promptly expressed his gratitude, but the young man’s face remained cold, instructing him to "get lost!"

Yan Jie’s animalistic instincts were ignited, as he let out roars akin to a zombie’s, staring bloodthirstily at the soldiers of City of Bright Moon in front of him.
His ruthlessness instantly attracted the concentrated fire of numerous soldiers from City of Bright Moon. Countless lasers flew towards him. Bang, bang, bang!
However, Yan Jie was not weak, his figure flashed and disappeared on the spot, leaving afterimages in the air as he closed in on Su Sigui who was behind the soldiers of Bright Moon City.
"Hehehe, I can’t die! A serious wound means nothing to me, but I can kill you, Level 6 New Human, come on!"
The figure of Yan Jie brushed past numerous soldiers from the City of Bright Moon. Su Sigui looked at him, a smile playing at the corner of his mouth, his face void of any fluctuations.
Yan Jie’s voice started to become hoarse, his black pupils turning amber, faintly glowing. He leapt up, raising his metamorphic Corpse-Cleaving Blade and launched a bloody half-moon at Su Sigui! Power exploded, stirring the air currents. Dust was raised, swirling out from Yan Jie who was at the center.
Numerous Bright Moon City soldiers rushed to surround Su Sigui, raising their laser weapons to fire at Yan Jie, only to be stopped by a wave of Su Sigui’s hand.
"No need, I’ll deal with him."
Su Sigui calmly replied, a cold glint in his eyes. Hearing him, the surrounded soldiers dared not delay and dispersed. They had seen the temper of Level 6 New Humans before, and an accidental injury from such a monster was not a joke.
"You’re quite arrogant."
Su Sigui softly laughed, slowly raising his hand under Yan Jie’s bloodthirsty gaze. His index and middle fingers separated, making a scissor gesture. Seeing this, Yan Jie was taken aback with a horrifying speculation.

He picked up the Corpse-Cleaving Blade with his left hand and without the slightest hesitation, he chopped down his right arm. He glared coldly at Su Sigui.

But it was not the same for the soldiers of Bright Moon City. Out of the ten, two were New Humans, an astonishing ratio. Furthermore, there were also two Level 5 New Humans! And even more Level 4 New Humans!
No one knew how the City of Bright Moon gathered so many New Humans.
"Mr. Mayor truly values us. But for a small base, for you to come in person." Yan Jie’s tone was devoid of any emotion.
