Tang Ye’s heart gave the order for the giant humanoid zombie to run over and attack him. Its strength was indeed great, but the speed of its run was not ideal, making a "thud thud thud" sound with each step!
It ran to Tang Ye, raised his pot-sized fist and aimed at Tang Ye’s face. Tang Ye, his fighting spirit boiling, swung his fist up to meet it. The outcome was foreseeable: Tang Ye was sent flying, while the zombie merely took half a step back!
Tang Ye got up, dusted off himself, glanced at the gigantic figure and felt a bit unsatisfied in his heart. He initially thought that it would evolve to Level 3 when he saw it devour the evolved gigantic tiger, but to his surprise, it remained at Level 2. This ridiculous creature had developed full strength, and he wondered what the strength of a Level 3 zombie would be like. Judging by this one, it should be able to compete in strength, but in speed and agility... anyone with a bit of a brain could easily outwit it!
"Looking at your foolish face, I might as well call you Ah Fu!" Tang Ye uttered in a voice so low that even he could hardly make out his own words.
Upon hearing this, Ah Fu seemed pleased at the prospect of having a name and let out a low roar.
Seeing Ah Fu’s reaction, Tang Ye felt a little disgruntled. If he had consumed the giant tiger himself, it would have provided him with immense energy, that would have been nice. Now it was gone, and he could only swear at Ah Fu in his heart: "You really lucked out."
He had just been sent flying by Ah Fu several times, and the black vest he was wearing had several large holes rubbed in it by the ground. This made Tang Ye heartbroken. This was a piece of clothing the girl had washed for him. Once it was dirty or damaged, she would no longer wash it for him.
Tang Ye was a sentimental person. He had special feelings for the old items that had accompanied him through both good and difficult times, especially this piece of clothing, the first one a girl had ever washed for him.
He turned and walked towards the zoo’s exit, with Ah Fu trailing behind him like a loyal little brother following his big brother.
Tang Ye walked towards Honglin High School. On the way, the surrounding zombies avoided the pair like ordinary citizens avoiding the local bullies. Tang Ye found some wicked amusement in this. He suddenly realized that having such a little brother did add some flair.
He took out the packet of cigarettes he had picked up earlier, stuck one in his mouth and lit it. As the smoke entered him, a dizzying sensation rushed to his head. Tang Ye wasn’t sure if smoking was supposed to feel , but it was pretty cool anyway.
Each puff reminded him of his time living with Ning Yu’er. Every frown and smile of hers was etched in his heart, and he would fantasize about the moment when they would meet again. What would he be like then?
Before he knew it, Tang Ye had arrived at Honglin High School, with Ah Fu following him the entire way.
Tang Ye was bewildered. He had somewhat forgotten why he had come back. He had just gone chasing after Ah Fu and now he had brought him back. But Ah Fu being stark naked was indeed an eyesore, so Tang Ye sent him to find some clothes to cover up, though judging by his physique, there probably wouldn’t be any clothes that could fit him.
He instructed Ah Fu to tear off a curtain and wrap it around his body, then let him stand guard at the door while he went inside to change out of his vest and into a trench coat.
Just as Tang Ye entered the school, a cry for help sounded out. He looked in the direction of the noise and saw a man running towards him with five or six zombies in tow.
That man was none other than Chen Chaoyang. Seeing Tang Ye’s figure, hope flickered in his eyes and he ran towards Tang Ye without a second thought.
"Big brother, save me! Please, I beg you!"
Chen Chaoyang panicked and hid behind Tang Ye, disregarding the fact that Tang Ye was a head zombie!
Tang Ye was surprised. "Did I look like a good person to him?" Nevertheless, seeing him in such a state, Tang Ye, whose heart had not completely turned dark, reluctantly chased the zombies away!
"Phew~ Thanks! Uh..." Chen Chaoyang barely survived and thanked Tang Ye, but in the next second, he was left speechless by Tang Ye’s ferocious and terrifying face.
Ever since he escaped from the Level 2 zombie last time, he had inadvertently hidden in a teaching building. There were many survivors inside, at least a hundred, more than those in the teaching building torn apart by the zombies.
The teaching building Chen Chaoyang entered was connected to a dormitory called Zhili College. Inside, there were fruits and vegetables planted by the dormitory’s old caretaker before the Apocalypse. They were in the ideal shelter surrounded by a wall that kept the zombies out. The leader inside was not a good person, and Chen Chaoyang had been ostracized when he first entered.
Every now and then, he was sent out to look for food, and he didn’t dare to go far, so he had to search for edible things in the surrounding area. If he couldn’t find anything, he would starve to death. The people in the shelter wouldn’t show any compassion based on past friendships. With food so scarce, how could they give him any? Even the high-ranking officials thought it was not enough for themselves!
Despite the large-scale clearance by Ning Tianlang, not all the zombies on campus had been exterminated. There were quite a few in some dark places.
Upon Tang Ye’s cold gaze, Chen Chaoyang was at a loss for words. He almost forgot that this man was a mutant zombie, probably a Level 2, and he was recklessly seeking trouble!
Wasn’t that asking for death?
The moment he saw Tang Ye, Chen Chaoyang thought of Ning Yu’er, who had been sheltered so well, eating and dressing well without having to worry about survival in the Apocalypse, and thought that Tang Ye might be willing to negotiate. In a moment of recklessness, he rushed over.

"Go!" Tang Ye suddenly cut him off, walking towards the girls’ dormitory.
"Oh right, okay!" Chen Chaoyang quickly nodded his head in agreement, overjoyed. He followed Tang Ye meekly, shocked that Tang Ye could talk! Although his speech was hard to understand and vague, he had understood.
Once the two entered the dormitory building, Tang Ye instructed him to shut the door.
