"Holy shit! A Gatling gun!"
Ah Fu held a three-meter-long Gatling gun in his hand. The countless barrels combined made it look exceptionally burly. The moment the kids saw it, they all jumped!
"How can a person be so tall?"
The kids kept retreating, and with a roar from Ah Fu, the massive Gejin-114 made a round, causing the kids to turn around and bolt!
However, it was just a spin, Ah Fu had not truly initiated an attack.
Watching the kids running out of fear from afar, Tang Ye didn’t chase after them. He watched pensively, feeling a sense of oppression welling up from within, recalling the Middle Eastern regions before the Apocalypse where wars frequently erupted. People, even children, picked up guns to survive.

"What are you doing! You’re so annoying!" While complaining discontentedly, Liang Hanyang walked unsatisfied. She was very dissatisfied that Tang Ye dragged her out of the base without a word.
However, Tang Ye did not pay her any heed, his gaze focused on observing the surrounding environment.
"There should be some evolved beasts around here, Ah Fu, Liang Hanyang, you guys find a wolf and a flying creature for me. Remember, find only those unaffected by the evolution. And for the flying creature, aim for one bigger in size, preferably a descendant of the evolved species."
"What are we getting these for?" Liang Hanyang asked, puzzled.
"I have a use for it."
Tang Ye waved his hand, dismissing the two before he walked towards the location of the hive.
As he ventured deeper, the surrounding forests should have been getting denser. However, the closer he got to the hive, the thinner the evolved plants became. Some had even wilted, and the soil on the ground presented a strange brownish-grey color.
When he finally stood before the hive, plants within a ten-kilometer radius appeared as though they were in a transition from autumn to winter, their leaves yellowing, withered and dead. Within sight, he saw no evolved beasts, only countless pale zombies!
Before he could get to the hive, a conscious voice echoed in his head.
"Why are you here..."
"What, you’re not happy to see me?"
Tang Ye looked at the hive with a smile, a strange look in his eyes. The hive seemed to perceive the aura exuding from him and became alert instinctively.
"What are you planning on doing? I’m good here... Please do not disturb..."
"I have no intention of disturbing you, I just need your help with something."
"Before that, I want you to become stronger."
"Become stronger? Why?"
"You’ll understand later."
Tang Ye didn’t continue the conversation with the hive, quickly approaching it and stretching out a hand to touch its skin. The mutated anti-life matter in his body starts rotating, spells of electrical arcs started flashing on Tang Ye’s body surface and a strong, dark fog spread from his back.
The hive’s gigantic body trembled. Its flesh started wriggling, tentacles emerging and swinging wildly.
"Uh... Ah! What are you doing! Stop it!"
Tang Ye yelled. The flesh touched by Tang Ye on the hive’s body started changing, from crimson-brown to silver at a rapid rate. The silver was aggressively spreading!
"Stop it quick! You demon! I haven’t hurt you!"
"I’m not hurting you either, I’m just helping you!"
"No! This doesn’t count!"
"Humph!" Tang Ye snorted coldly, saying angrily, "How does it not count? But... if I tell you my true intentions, it’s to completely control you!"
"What kind of control? Stop it!"
The hive’s flesh writhed like a ripple, countless tentacles shot out, launching a collective attack on Tang Ye!
With sounds of crackling and popping, the hive’s tentacles demonstrated impressive strength, striking Tang Ye and causing heavy smoke!
When the smoke cleared, Tang Ye was unscathed except for several centimeters of backward motion. But he had transformed from a human into a Zombie King, covered with black fog and electricity!
"I told you not to move!"
Tang Ye fiercely swept his hand - silver bloom spread like a sea of flowers, spreading madly on the hive’s body with astonishing speed.
The hive also felt the pain on its body getting more and more intense. From nowhere came cries of "Yii Ya Yii Ya". Countless thick and thin tentacles attacked Tang Ye,
But, Tang Ye stood like an immovable king, unfazed as if nothing could shake him. The hive’s silver cover just kept growing!
As time passed, the hive gradually noticed that it had built a one-sided connection with Tang Ye which was not boding well. It felt like it had turned into the recipient of a contract where the requester can ask for anything unreasonably and the recipient had to passively accept!
The hive cried louder and louder, scaring the birds in the forest to fly, the tinging black soil seemed to be turning over, creating a bizarre and absurd scene.
But Tang Ye stood like an island in an absurd world, standing still amidst the chaos!
The speed at which the silver was spreading was fast, but the hive’s body was just too huge. Even after half an hour, Tang Ye hadn’t converted even one percent of the hive’s body into silver.
But he was not in a hurry - the hive had to be turned into a Silver Zombie under his complete control. He did not wish for an undisciplined member to camp by his side.
Only on the morning of the third day, the task was somewhat done when Ah Fu and Liang Hanyang returned, each carefully holding the creatures they caught as if they were afraid of hurting them.
With the last bit of flesh on the hive turned into an iron-like silver, Tang Ye finally let go. The hive seemed to collapse, the flesh undulating as if it were trying to breathe heavily.
Tang Ye also let out a sigh of relief, feeling his internal energy, he cried and laughed. Adults like him had spent two days pouring his body’s mutated anti-life material into the hive, and his internal energy was only left by 45%. Assimilating a hive consumed almost 40% of his energy!
To know, the energy stored inside his body after evolving into Level 7 was formidable!
"Take a rest, you’ll be busy later."
Tang Ye nodded to the hive, then looked at Liang Hanyang and Ah Fu. His eyes then moved to a wolf and a strange eagle they held in their hands.
