Apart from the powerful assault of these ten New Human warriors, a dozen soldiers who had previously escaped from Hatred also raised their laser weapons, standing on the upper floor and shooting frantically at Hatred.
For a moment, even the strong Hatred was forced to continually retreat by such an encirclement. The stairwell space was too small; he couldn’t stretch out his limbs to attack. At the same time, because of this, those whom he viewed as weaklings seized the opportunity to strike him, igniting a raging fury in him!
"You’re seeking death!"
As Hatred roared in anger, it was met with a cold snort from someone, perhaps seeing an opportunity, the speaker’s confidence grew stronger.
"Seeking death, first see if you can make it out of here today!"
With that, three individuals leaped up, swinging corpse-chopping blades towards Hatred from various directions. Seeing this, Hatred stepped back; a great force exerted from his bending arm, knocking several New Human warriors behind him to the ground, while one of his feet stabbed into the ceiling, suspending his body in the air.
With a loud shout, Hatred kicked a New Human warrior who had approached him, sending him flying into the wall with great force. The impact embedded the warrior into the wall; he only briefly touched his cracked exoskeleton armor before charging again with his knife.
Watching this unfolded before his eyes, Hatred murmured in a low voice, "Such high defense capability must have cost the Yesteryear Association quite a lot."
Scanning once more, Hatred noticed that the number of New Human warriors attacking him had not decreased, although many had been seriously injured.
As he observed, a barrage of laser beams smashed down from above, the world in front of him instantly shrouded in dust. Then, he saw a shadow flicker by, and suddenly, his neck pained as if a hard object had chopped into it, but it was blocked by his own bones.
The cold sensation of this thing... it was a knife!
Another person had attacked him; this was outrageous!
His tendrils entwined and thrusted forward, but in his tactile exploration, he touched nothing. Instead, someone’s foot kicked his abdomen, a force that neither Level 3 nor Level 4 New Humans could exert; it was a Level 5 New Human!
There were experts among these people!
Having deduced this, Hatred extended his limbs. Instantly, five or six New Human soldiers attacking him were forced back.
Possibly irritated by the relentless laser beam attacks, Hatred’s chilling gaze turned upwards, and his long tendrils swooped up toward the first floor.
"Not good! This guy!"
The several soldiers with weapons above did not react in time, managing only to utter a few words when the tendrils entangled them. Suddenly, two or three were yanked downstairs, the tendrils irrationally tearing apart even the staircase’s railing.
They crashed onto the ground with a loud clattering noise.
Under the explosive force of Hatred, several soldiers along with twisted and severely distorted railings heavily smashed onto the ground.
Several screams, accompanied by agonizing and piercing cries, sent a shiver down the spine of the crowd of New Human warriors below.
Is this what a Level 6 New Human is? He could still manage to attack the people above amidst so many stronger assailants.
"Ma De, quickly kill him!"
Seeing this, the leading Level 5 New Human felt a sense of foreboding and yelled angrily, his whole momentum surging!
The exoskeleton armor covering him opened its wing fragments, and the turbocharger on his back, resembling a honeycomb, just began to rise, with points of scorching light igniting within!
"Think you can kill me? Do you possess the capability? Come on then! Let me see what you’ve got!" Hatred sneered coldly, as the Level 5 New Human across from him grimaced, the glow from their all-encompassing battle helmet dimming slightly.
"We’ll have to see about that. Until the final moment, you never know whose deer will die."
The captain of the Level 5 New Human fighters also stopped talking, a jet of pale blue flames spewed forcefully from his back!
The tremendous propulsion thrust his body fiercely toward Hatred!
A dull sound rang out; the incredibly hot flames turned the wall behind black as both unleashed their utmost strength!
For a moment, tiles near the staircase entrance started lifting, the concrete cracked, and with a heavy thud, it seemed as if the entire residential building trembled with the collision of the two powerhouses!
Under the combined attack of several Level 4 New Humans and Level 3 New Humans, Hatred was struck hard and sent flying like a cannonball, smashing through the wall on the back of the stairway entrance before crashing heavily on the first floor.
Seeing this from above, the soldiers quickly reacted, one after another they moved down, raising their weapons and firing wildly at Hatred, dense laser beams exploded on his face and other parts of his body.
"Roar! Ants, a bunch of ants, dare to treat me !"
To Hatred, all these people before him were merely weaklings. To put it figuratively, that Level 5 New Human was just a cat, while the others were a bunch of mice and ants!
Yet now, he was embarrassingly pressed by a cat, a bunch of mice, and ants, which infuriated him immensely.
Almost instantly, as if forgetting the pain on his body, he let out a high-pitched zombie-like roar, his limbs distorting like tree branches, frighteningly resembling a zombie as he continued to rush forward with his claws raised!
His hands moved like the claws of a gecko, quickly and agilely climbing up the wall, then leaping forward, his back appendages flailing as he charged straight ahead.
A few of the New Human Stronghouses caught off guard were ensnared by the robust appendages around their necks, then pulled down with an unstoppable force!
Beneath, Hatred’s voice, like that of a malicious spirit, bellowed, followed by several screams of agony. People watched as one of their companions’ exoskeleton armor was ripped open, Hatred’s claws piercing through his chest. When they were withdrawn, his hands were already covered in fresh blood.
In his palm, a heart throbbed, plucked out so swiftly that the victim’s heart had not even stopped beating.
Without pausing, Hatred’s chilling gaze immediately shifted to another person he had pulled down, who showed a look of terror, yet before they could assume a defensive stance, Hatred had already vanished from the spot.
"Quick, go down and help him!"
Others couldn’t track Hatred’s movements, but as a Level 5 New Human, his eyes were sharp. He could make out a bit of the speed of a Level 6 New Human, but just a bit.
Upon hearing his voice, others nodded and one by one jumped down to the first floor, their cleavers swinging, the blades flashing.
