The two people looked at everything in the refrigerator, and everything they had eaten before was regurgitated at once. Cold air still poured from the refrigerator, despite the electricity being cut off. They wondered how it was still able to maintain refrigeration.
Shen Mingke stormed out, fuming, and shouted as he choked the woman. On the other hand, Zheng Minghui laughed happily, slumping on the ground and falling into a deep sleep. Inside his body, earth-shaking changes were happening. Super cells were being synthesised, making his body stronger!
"You deserve to die!" Shen Mingke yelled, his face turning purple with rage.
He was choking her, however, his eyes strayed, landing on her chest, causing him to hesitate momentarily. Then his lips split into a grin.
An evil thought began to sprout; his eyes gradually filled with lust. He remembered that it was the apocalypse, a lawless society, where no one cared if you committed a crime!
The seed of evil, once planted, swiftly grew into a towering tree. This couple wanted to kill him, why? Just for the flesh on their bodies! They deserved to die. Shen Mingke felt no guilt about killing them. Before he killed them, he decided he could do something he’d hesitated to do his whole life - indulge himself for once!
With these thoughts in mind, Shen Mingke grinned at the woman, considering her body, one he had not yet enjoyed!
"Hahahaha, I won’t be a virgin anymore, hahaha!"
The woman’s face turned pale with terror. She knew what Shen Mingke had planned to do the moment he started laughing, and began to struggle. However, Shen Mingke’s grip tightened further.
Shen Mingke roughly tore off her clothes, revealing her somewhat frail body. A wave of perverse thoughts surged within him again.
The morning breeze seemed to dispel the oppressive darkness of the night, and the usually bustling sound of children was nowhere to be found. The autumn leaves thickened the mossy blooms, the emerging sun partially showing, casting half the sky a captivating pink. It seemed as if they were in the middle of a beautiful animation.
Shen Mingke, who was sleeping soundly on the ground, felt as if someone was kicking his butt and woke up groggily.
"Old Shen, are you okay? What’s going on with you?"
"I’m fine, I’m fine," Shen Mingke said with a cheery smile, clearly quite satisfied with his behaviour last night.
Perhaps it was due to his heavy drinking last night that Shen Mingke felt a slight hangover. However, comparing him to Zheng Minghui, who seemed untroubled, clearly exhibited no signs of a hangover!
Zheng Minghui, on the other hand, felt strange. Ever since morning, he had felt a powerful force stirring in his body, as if he could do things he couldn’t do before. And there was also this illusion that he could lift an ox all by himself!
However, he considered this mere illusion, simply an effect from just waking up.
At this moment, the naked woman on the ground twitched. She rolled over, her unkempt hair swathes around her face, making her look like a ghost. As she looked at Zheng Minghui and Shen Mingke, deep resentment flashed in her eyes.
"You... you dare... You’re going to die! Die!"
The woman screamed at the two men like a madwoman. As Zheng Minghui looked at her, he felt rage seeping into his heart, his stomach churning. He was angry at the woman in front of him.
Zheng Minghui picked up the butcher knife from the ground and swung it down. He had killed a person yesterday, his mind was flustered, there was a lot he couldn’t make out. However, today, upon waking up, he understood everything clearly.
This is the apocalypse, what is there to fear?
Since he had already killed someone, he wouldn’t mind staining his hands with more blood. After all, there are no good people in the apocalypse!
Just as his blade was about to come down, there was a loud thud. The bedroom door of Li Henian was suddenly broken by a sturdy arm.
A bone-chilling roar echoed in the air. Li Henian, with his two-meter-tall sturdy body, appeared right in front of the two men.
The woman, upon seeing this, was overjoyed. She said excitedly, "Son! Son, they killed your father. Quickly, take revenge for him!"
At her words, the faces of Zheng Minghui and Shen Mingke froze, and they instinctively backed away a few steps.
"Your... your son? You are raising a zombie? Are you fuckin’ crazy?" Shen Mingke exclaimed in terror.
Just then, a sweet flower of youth, a beautiful girl of about sixteen, silently walked out of the bedroom. Her white dress was dirty, yet her arms and collarbones were clean and delicate, as if she bathed regularly.
When the woman saw Li Qingtian, her mind buzzed in disbelief, she looked at her like she had just seen a ghost.
"You... you’re still alive?"

As the woman on the ground heard this, she slid further back- she didn’t understand the current situation. Why hadn’t Li Henian eaten Li Qingtian?
"No! How are you not dead? How could this happen? How did you do it?"
The woman’s eyes widened in disbelief as she scrutinised Li Qingtian, eventually confirming that she hadn’t turned into a zombie!

As Li Qingtian was fixing her hair, the zombie Li Henian seemed to understand as he nodded blankly.
After Li Qingtian finished fixing her hair, she looked at the woman with resentment in her eyes. She blamed her and Li Xunhao for favouritism. They were both their children, so why did they favour one over the other? Was it because she was a girl, someone that’ll be married away someday?
"Mommy, you and Daddy are so biased. Why do you only care about Henian? Why is it that when you buy stuff, it is only for him and never for me? What did I do wrong? Tell me!"
Li Qingtian spoke without feeling; it was as if she was an onlooker narrating a sombre tale.
"No, we didn’t. We love you both equally! Our love is equal for both of you. Quickly call Henian to kill these guys. They killed your father. Hurry and kill them! Then we can all live happily as a family, okay?"
The woman pleaded. However, Li Qingtian let out a chilling laugh... It was cold yet captivating.
