At this moment, Kaito stood atop the Bliss Box, with Obito bound beside him, the Shinigami in midair locked in a tug-of-war with Ryūmyaku chains, and Zetsu at a distance on the ground.
Obito’s chakra had been sealed, rendering him powerless.
Due to Zetsu’s Mokuton technique breaking the formation, the natural energy barrier was disrupted, and the Shinigami regained its formidable power.
The black rift behind the Shinigami opened wide like a beast’s maw, and the ghostly hands emerging from it grew larger, furiously tearing at the golden chains binding the Shinigami.
"Mokuton: Sashiki no Jutsu!"
As expected, Zetsu did not abandon Obito, and sharp wooden spikes gleaming coldly grew rapidly, aiming to pierce Kaito.
"Good, since everyone is here, let the battle begin!"
Kaito dodged the spikes, reappearing on the ground, his eyes spinning with the five-pointed star pattern as he formed seals with his hands.
"Susanoo!"
A half-bodied skeleton materialized around him, shielding him from the incoming wooden spikes.
Zetsu moved with remarkable speed, burrowing underground and emerging from beneath the Bliss Box, transforming his arm into a vine to pull Obito down.
He tugged at the chains binding Obito but found them immovable.
"This is bad, Obito, we should retreat!"
Before Obito could respond, Zetsu hoisted him onto his shoulder and began to flee.
"You won’t escape!" Kaito’s voice rang coldly.
New chains silently extended from the golden chains on Obito, moving towards Zetsu.
Sensing the movement, Zetsu quickly threw Obito aside and submerged himself into the ground to evade.
Smack! Smack!
The chains extending from Obito whipped the ground, raising clouds of dust.
Obito also fell from the air, crashing to the ground with a thud.
"Yamata no Orochi!!"
The blue half-bodied skeleton around Kaito rapidly grew golden tendons and flesh, sprouting legs and donning a full set of samurai armor.
Standing in the space atop Yamata no Orochi’s forehead, Kaito clapped his hands together.
"Escaping underground isn’t a good idea."
Zetsu, bound by golden chains, was pulled up from the ground and bound beside Obito.
"This is troublesome; I’ve been caught too," Zetsu wriggled like a caterpillar on the ground. "So scary, so scary, am I going to die?"
"Obito! I have a small wish before I die," he looked at Obito with wide eyes. "Tell me, what does it feel like to need to poop?"
"Shut up!" Obito’s single eye glared coldly at him. "You useless fool!"
Instead of getting angry at Obito’s harsh words, Zetsu grinned mischievously. "Heeheehee...you were caught first. You love-struck loser!"
Kaito ignored their bickering and shifted his gaze to the struggling Shinigami.
"You’re the last one, Shinigami!"
The golden light in Yamata no Orochi’s hand elongated into a long naginata. Wielding it with both hands, he slashed down, severing all the ghostly hands emerging from the spatial rift in one stroke.
The naginata dissolved into points of light and disappeared, while Yamata no Orochi’s left hand closed the spatial rift, and the right hand grabbed the still-chained Shinigami, pulling it close to the Bliss Box.
The thick purple mist from the Bliss Box immediately swirled back, enveloping the Shinigami.
The Shinigami opened its massive mouth, emitting a silent scream, and the ghostly hands emerging from the spatial rift dissipated like dust, the rift closing afterward.
Yamata no Orochi’s lower half vanished, and Kaito descended to the ground. He controlled Yamata no Orochi’s right hand to seize the short sword from the Shinigami, deftly slicing open its belly.
Kaito’s left eye pattern spun rapidly, and a pentagram formation appeared on the ground beneath the Shinigami, opening a dark void leading to the Pure Land.
Countless soul orbs flew out from the Shinigami’s belly, heading towards the Pure Land’s passage.
Kaito carefully observed the released souls, his expression turning to surprise, followed by an intrigued smile.
He grabbed several small paper figures and tossed them into the air.
Four paper figures collided with four of the souls, emitting a blue light and rapidly growing into human forms.
Seeing the four people before him, Kaito couldn’t help but exclaim, "The four previous Hokage of Konoha gathered inside the Shinigami’s belly—what a spectacle!"
The four Hokage opened their eyes and immediately heard this remark, prompting them to look in the direction of the voice.
"Hahaha...four Hokage?"
Senju Hashirama laughed awkwardly, surveying the scene before him, and asked directly, "Who are you?"
"This is? The Shinigami?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen and Minato Namikaze looked at the fully bound Shinigami in shock.
Senju Tobirama observed the surroundings silently.
Kaito dispersed Yamata no Orochi entirely, revealing his true form.
"Nice to meet you. I am Uchiha Kaito."
"An Uchiha, huh!" Hashirama nodded, curiously eyeing the golden mist around Kaito. "You’re quite different from the usual Uchiha!"
"Brother!" Tobirama frowned. "I can’t sense any chakra from this kid."
"Oh? That’s odd. What kind of power is this? Sage Art? Doesn’t seem like it." Hashirama stroked his chin, curious and trying to get closer for a better look.
"Brother!!" Tobirama pulled him back. "Don’t act rashly."
"What’s the big deal? I’m already dead anyway!" Hashirama looked at his brother in confusion.
Tobirama responded sternly, "That’s an Uchiha; who knows what his intentions are! Besides, our current state is very strange!"
"How many times do I have to tell you, Tobirama," Hashirama looked at Tobirama disapprovingly. "Stop being biased against the Uchiha!"
"Hmph, the Uchiha are an evil clan!"
Tobirama remained unmoved, his sharp gaze fixed on Kaito. "Kid, what’s your purpose?"
"Heh, no purpose really," Kaito smiled. "I was just surprised and wanted to witness this spectacle."
His gaze swept over the four Hokage, finally settling on Minato.
"The Fourth Hokage, what a pity."
"What?" Minato looked confused.
Kaito smiled at him again. "I mean, it’s a pity you died so young."
"After your death, the Third Hokage had to come out of retirement. Being old and frail, he gradually lost control, leading to many regrettable incidents."
A bitter smile appeared on Hiruzen’s aged face.
"I did find myself somewhat powerless."
