Ning Yichen’s face showed no expression as he looked at Su Lianxi sitting opposite him, as if she were a stranger.
“Young master, the doctor said that it’s best for you not to move around now. It’s not conducive to your recovery,” Xiaofang said disapprovingly.
Su Lianxi heard the voice and looked up, her face lighting up with joy when she saw Ning Yichen!

Xiaofang placed the thermal flask on the table, picked up an apple and a fruit knife to peel it, but Su Lianxi’s eyes brightened and she reached out her hand, “Let me do it.”
Xiaofang glanced at Ning Yichen, and seeing that he had no reaction, handed the apple and fruit knife to Su Lianxi.
Su Lianxi gave a grateful smile and crouched down beside the trash can to start peeling the apple.
But having been pampered since childhood, she had never done such work; after a few movements of the knife, she had left the apple all dented and uneven. In a rush, she exerted too much force and the knife’s tip suddenly stabbed into her finger.
Su Lianxi cried out in shock! The apple slipped from her hand!
She put the injured finger in her mouth to suck it, her eyes tearful as she looked up, only to meet Ning Yichen’s calm gaze.
