“You must be joking.” Su Zixi gave a forced smile, “What are you doing here?”
“I have something to take care of.” Yun Shenhan thought for a moment, “Have you had lunch? Come on, let me treat you to a meal.”
“No need, Brother Yun, you go ahead with your matters, I’ll head back to school. I still have class in the afternoon.” Su Zixi said with a smile, hastily waving goodbye to him.
Yun Shenhan watched her retreating figure, deep in thought.
Su Zixi took a taxi back to the school. It was almost one o’clock, but it seemed she had passed the point of hunger and had no appetite at all.
She paid the taxi fare, then got out and walked towards the school. Just then, a striking figure suddenly approached her at the gate.
As she watched the figure draw closer, Su Zixi’s eyes lit up: “Xuefei senior!”
The woman walking towards her was none other than Yun Xuefei!
She hurried forward with a light jog to meet her.
“Just call me by my name in the future, always calling me senior makes me feel old.” Yun Xuefei said with a slight smile.
Su Zixi felt a bit embarrassed and readily agreed, “Alright, Xuefei… what brings you here?”
“After all, it’s my alma mater.” Yun Xuefei turned to glance at Yanzhou University’s gates, and sighed softly, “I haven’t been back for two years, and it has changed so much.”
“That’s right, they renovated the gate last year.” Su Zixi said.
“My brother just called me, said you seemed to be in a bad mood, so I came over.” Yun Xuefei winked, “I just got out of a cab as well. Come on, let’s go, my treat.”

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Su Zixi sipped her drink, then looked up, “That… do you know Jingyao… can’t be near women?”
Yun Xuefei raised her eyebrows in surprise, “Oh? So, you know about it?”
Su Zixi felt frustrated, realizing that everyone around He Jingyao must know about it, yet she had been kept in the dark for so long.
“Do you think there is a problem?” Yun Xuefei asked with raised eyebrows.
Su Zixi didn’t know how to start.
“Do you feel that Jingyao doesn’t truly like you?” Yun Xuefei pondered for a moment.
“Mm…” She fiddled with her drink straw, “Actually, I know I shouldn’t be greedy, but…”
But, the panic in her heart wasn’t something she could just dismiss.
“Of course, you can be greedy.” Yun Xuefei said with a laugh, “I know, you’ve always thought that Jingyao truly liked you, but now that you’re aware there’s this underlying reason, it’s natural for you to be concerned. Leave this problem to Jingyao to figure out. Since you didn’t know, it’s his obligation to inform you.”
Su Zixi was stunned, “Is… is that so?”
“Of course!” Yun Xuefei said with conviction, “If you feel insecure, that’s his responsibility. It means he’s not doing well enough!”
