Huo Yanhui smirked, “Was that your wife’s call? Looks like you’re making up!”
“I’m heading back now.” Huo Yanzhao said as he took off his lab coat and put on a suit jacket.
Huo Yanhui with understanding, “Fair enough… Looks like you’re booked for tonight.”
Huo Yanzhao gave him a cold look and strode out of the office.
Half an hour later, Huo Yanzhao arrived back at Shanglin Bay.
He rushed into the living room. Mrs. Wu placed the slippers in front of him and said softly, “Missus is in the backyard.”
Huo Yanzhao nodded, changed his shoes, and walked through the living room to the yard.
Under a large sun umbrella, there was a delicate small table where Yun Xuefei sat next to it, holding a book, her expression eerily calm.
Huo Yanzhao felt his heart pounding… this feeling of waiting for a verdict…
He walked towards her, his voice hoarse, “Xuefei.”
Yun Xuefei slowly lifted her head, her dark eyes seemingly devoid of any emotion.
She was sizing him up, extremely seriously, as if committing his image to her heart.
“Yanzhao, you’ve lost weight.” She smiled slightly, “These past few days, haven’t you been eating well?”
