He Jingyao’s gaze moved higher, landing on her delicately enticing lips.
The corners of his lips slowly curved into a smile that could captivate anyone.
He stepped into the room and suddenly swept her into a horizontal carry, lifting his right leg behind him—bang, the door of the room was forcefully shut.
Su Zixi let out a soft gasp, clutching his neck, her eyes wide with nervousness, “Jingyao, I…”
“Shh…” He strode to the bed and laid her down, looking down at her, “How could I miss the feast you meticulously prepared, hmm?”
“I didn’t meticulously prepare anything…” Facing the moment, it wasn’t her style not to retort a bit.
“Oh?” His gaze roamed unabashedly over her body, “You changed into the clothes I like and even took a shower…”
As he spoke, he leaned in slightly closer and took in a deep whiff, his voice becoming huskier, “Very fragrant.”
Su Zixi’s cheeks turned deeply red.
However, she ultimately did not contradict him further, thus silently agreeing to his words…
“Wait for me five minutes.” He lowered his head to her lips and bit down hard, “Lie here nicely and don’t go anywhere, understand?”
Su Zixi hesitated for a moment, but eventually nodded obediently under his deep, dark gaze…
Only then did He Jingyao let out a low breath and release her as if resisting a tremendous temptation…
The truth was indeed so; although he was eager to proceed, he had to first take a shower to ensure her health.

“Help me dry my hair,” he said huskily, handing her the towel.
Su Zixi, her face flushed, took it and awkwardly started drying his hair in that position. However, she didn’t realize that the movement of lifting her arms caused her neckline and skin to part, revealing a view that was utterly obvious to him.
He Jingyao’s breathing gradually became rapid, his eyes brimming with a surging darkness.
Suddenly, he caught Su Zixi’s wrist, “That’s enough.”
Su Zixi ran her hand through his hair, which was still wet but at least wasn’t dripping…
It would have been fine ordinarily, but then…
“If it’s not dried, you’ll catch a cold,” she said softly.
The man looked up at her.
“If you sweat…” Su Zixi started to say, then suddenly realized she misspoke and immediately shut her mouth.
He Jingyao’s eyes grew terrifyingly deep, “Oh? Why would I sweat?”
Su Zixi, her face turning utterly red with frustration, threw the towel and said indignantly, “I’m not dealing with you anymore!”
He Jingyao couldn’t hold back any longer and, accompanied by a low chuckle, kissed her lips.
Su Zixi tilted her head back, enduring it… This time she didn’t close her eyes, and her gaze intertwined with his.
Her heart felt both sour and swollen… Thinking about what was about to happen, an indescribable sense of fulfillment surged inside her.
