“It really has nothing to do with me,” Su Zixi blinked her eyes, “but I remember, not long ago you were determined to marry only Jingyao, to the extent of even attempting suicide. Yet, you have been pregnant for almost two months now.”
Xia Xinyu gave a seductive smile suddenly, “So what? Now that marrying into the He Family is hopeless, I don’t care how you choose to report this.”
“You just looked so reluctant to part ways, it’s clear that you have feelings for the father of the child, at least this child was not conceived by force,” Su Zixi said with a hint of pity in her voice, “But the father of the child doesn’t want him, right?”
Xia Xinyu lifted her chin, “I told you, it’s none of your business!”
Having said that, she walked past Su Zixi and headed towards the other end of the corridor.
“It’s He Yizheng, isn’t it?” Su Zixi called out, watching her figure recede.
The figure of Xia Xinyu stiffened instantly.
A few seconds later, she turned around, her face full of scorn, “What does it have to do with He Yizheng? The people of the He family… Humph,” she scoffed as if what Su Zixi had said was ludicrous.
There was a reason Su Zixi might suspect He Yizheng. If He Yizheng tried to seduce her, being the wife of He Jingyao, how could he possibly have ignored Xia Xinyu, who might have been betrothed to He Jingyao from the start?
Though Su Zixi despised He Yizheng’s character, with his methods, deceiving a woman was not difficult. If Xia Xinyu had a secret affair with him, Su Zixi wouldn’t be surprised at all.

Su Zixi merely sighed softly and left the floor, heading back to the ward where Shen Yushan was.

The door to the operating room closed behind them.

Unconsciously, tears welled up in her eyes. Xia Xinyu closed her eyes.
Feeling the cold instruments about to probe her body, Xia Xinyu bit her lip hard, just then, her phone suddenly rang.
Xia Xinyu looked at the caller ID, her eyes lighting up.
“Is the surgery done yet?” He Yizheng interrupted her, his deep, magnetic voice devoid of warmth.
