Yan Lingfeng’s possessive gesture made Yun Xuefei frown, but ultimately she did not break free.
“I’m saying, since you and Xuefei are already divorced, you should stop pestering her, don’t you think?” Yan Lingfeng asked with a lazy smile, his gaze carrying a hint of contempt and provocation.

Yan Lingfeng looked innocent, “Wasn’t it you who asked me to come?”
“Yan Lingfeng!” Yun Xuefei said sternly, looking at him.
“Alright, I just wanted to try my luck, maybe you would be willing to have dinner with me,” Yan Lingfeng said with a smile, “Xuefei, since you’re divorced now, I should be able to ask you out, right?”
Yun Xuefei took a deep breath and shook her head, “I really am quite busy lately, please don’t come looking for me anymore.”
“I know that your busyness is only to heal,” Yan Lingfeng said softly, “but the best way to heal a broken heart is to date a better man, and I don’t mind being your tool for healing.”
Yun Xuefei pursed her lips and after a long while, she spoke, “Yes, I am divorced, but don’t forget, you are also part of my past, and I never go back to what I’ve left behind.”
Yan Lingfeng’s expression changed slightly, and after a moment, he joked, “We haven’t seen each other in over five years, you are not the same, and neither am I. Why not treat me as a completely new person to consider?”
“Sorry, I can’t do that,” Yun Xuefei said coldly, “Please step aside, I need to get back to work.”
Seeing the resistance on her face, Yan Lingfeng felt a twinge of regret in his heart.
Perhaps he had been too hasty.
But he had waited so long for this opportunity; this time, he could not let her slip away again.
With that thought, Yan Lingfeng stood up like a gentleman and cleared a path for her.

“What’s wrong? Are you not feeling well? Shall I take you to the hospital?” he asked with a worried frown.
Yun Xuefei recovered and shook her head, pushing him away as she walked out.
To her surprise, Huo Yanzhao was still in the studio, whispering something to her assistant Xiaoyou, who was nodding repeatedly.
Hearing her footsteps, he stopped and looked at Yun Xuefei, whose pale complexion made Huo Yanzhao frown, “Xuefei, are you not feeling well?”
“I’m fine,” Yun Xuefei said, but involuntarily furrowed her brows, and in the next moment, she covered her chest and made a gagging motion.
Yan Lingfeng stood by her side, his hand instantly reaching out to support her! Huo Yanzhao was a step behind but still quickly rushed over and forcefully pulled her into his arms!
