“How is that possible? Isn’t she supposed to be infertile?” Mrs. Huo’s face changed dramatically, her voice shrill.
It had been nearly a year since her son got married, and there had been no news from Yun Xuefei. Mrs. Huo had always thought the problem lay with Yun Xuefei. That’s why, when Sun Qiuran came along, she was in such a hurry to take her under her protection.

“The child in Xuefei’s belly is your true grandson or granddaughter,” Huo Yanzhao said coldly, glancing at Sun Qiuran, “Now, do you still want to protect this woman?”
Mrs. Huo’s face was a mask of shifting expressions, and it took a long time before she spoke, “Even so, you can’t force her to have an abortion!”

She withdrew her gaze, feeling dejected.
After they left, Huo Yanzhao asked Dr. Zhao, “How is it?”
Dr. Zhao nodded, “Don’t worry, Miss Sun’s health was never good to begin with, and the child wouldn’t last. The lady doesn’t really care about her either and has arranged for her to stay in the apartment at Lishui Pavilion. I’ve already bribed the maid there who cooks for her.”
Huo Yanzhao smiled, “What I need is an ‘accident’.”
