“Zhixi!” Ning Yichen’s face changed drastically, and he was the first to chase after her. Huo Yanhui, seeing this, frowned in annoyance and quickly stood up to follow.
Su Lianxi watched Ning Yichen’s retreating back, anger bringing tears to her eyes once again!
Lin Shuyue grabbed Su Guo’an’s hand, “Guo’an, what should we do now? What if Zhixi refuses to save you? How can she not be your daughter?”
Su Guo’an said bitterly, “Either there was a mistake at the hospital back then, or…”

Lin Shuyue suddenly understood and muttered, “Could it be that Zhou Rong had an affair…”
Zhou Rong was indeed Su Guo’an’s ex-wife and Su Zixi’s birth mother.

“Mom, Dad, stop arguing,” she said with a hoarse laugh. “The important thing now is whether Su Zixi is still willing to bone marrow to you…”
Su Guo’an still couldn’t let go and frowned silently for a long while.
“Dad, don’t forget, Su Zixi has already legally severed her father-daughter relationship with you; by law, she’s no longer your daughter,” Su Lianxi said impatiently, “And even if Su Zixi’s mother had an affair back then, it’s not like you were much better. What do you have to begrudge!”
At these words, both Su Guo’an and Lin Shuyue’s faces flushed red!
But Su Lianxi didn’t look at them anymore, her eyes fixed on some empty space, twinkling, wondering who knows what.
Outside the hospital room, Su Zixi stopped at the balcony at the end of the corridor.
She was panting heavily, her hands bracing against the railing, her body still trembling uncontrollably.
Ning Yichen, seeing her rush to the balcony on the twelfth floor, felt his own heartbeat seize with fear.
“Zhixi!” Ning Yichen held her around the waist. “Calm down!”
Su Zixi was startled by him and turned around, her face filled with panic as she looked at him.
Ning Yichen hurriedly comforted her, holding her in his arms, “Don’t be afraid, it’s okay… Su Guo’an has been so awful to you; shouldn’t you be happy? Perhaps your real father is somewhere in the world, missing you terribly…”

How could she end her life over this? She just wanted to breathe some fresh air… The sudden news had been a huge shock to her.
But Ning Yichen’s interruption had now dispelled any sadness or complex emotions that might have arisen.
Huo Yanhui scoffed coldly, stepping in front of her, “I think he just wanted to take advantage of you!”
