When Su Zixi woke up, the first thing she did was grab her phone.
After turning it on, it wasn’t long before a message popped up, informing her that He Jingyao had called her last night at 11:53 PM.
Su Zixi felt somewhat suffocated but also a bit soft-hearted.
What was he so busy with that he had to work until so late?
And yet, despite being so busy, he still managed to make time yesterday afternoon to come to Yangdong City just to be with her… Su Zixi simply didn’t know what to make of it.

If she forgave him too easily, that man would only become more excessive in the future!

She had finished her breakfast and was about to return to her room when Huo Yanhui finally showed up late, looking as if he might have spent the whole night in a dreamy haze.
“Sister-in-law, housekeeper, I’ve made plans, so I won’t join you for breakfast,” Huo Yanhui said with a cocky expression, not stopping as he passed through the living room and walked out.
Su Zixi widened her eyes in surprise.
Could it be that he really won over Ye Shutong? That was incredible!
“Dr. Huo, you should be careful not to be used by others!” Su Zixi said with a bit of caution.
Since Ye Shutong had been eyeing He Jingyao, it wasn’t impossible that she would get close to Huo Yanhui just because he was He Jingyao’s close friend.

Right before she went upstairs, the housekeeper seemed to have made a call; obviously, he had informed He Jingyao who must have known she had returned to her room, so he called her immediately.
Holding her phone with a serious face, Su Zixi looked at the flashing words “He Jingyao” but never pressed the answer button.
After one minute, the call ended automatically.
Su Zixi continued to look at her phone with the same seriousness, glad that she hadn’t been disappointed as the phone rang again shortly afterwards.
She still didn’t answer.
So, a minute later, the call hung up once again.
Su Zixi felt somewhat smug; she believed He Jingyao had received the signal that “she was very angry.”
After he made ten or eight more calls, it wouldn’t be too late to answer, Su Zixi thought secretly, continuing to stare at her phone.
