He Jingyao laughed softly, pulled up the blanket, and covered her with it.

She opened her eyes to find that there was no one beside her.
Su Zixi got out of bed, took a bath, dressed, and went downstairs, just in time to see He Jingyao returning from outside.
His steps were brisk, his trench coat rustling in the wind. Seeing her, the man immediately smiled, but there was something… peculiar about that smile.
Su Zixi, still not fully awake, gazed bewildered at his smiling handsome face.
“Just woke up?” He smiled and pulled her into his arms, “I have some good news for you. This morning I met with the President and we’ve preliminarily sealed the deal on this project.”
Su Zixi’s eyes widened in shock, “That was fast! You’re amazing!”
So it really was just a trivial matter for him, Su Zixi thought with mixed emotions.
“It’s not me who’s amazing, it’s you,” He Jingyao pinched her cheek, “The President said that this was to repay a debt of gratitude to the President’s wife on your behalf.”
