Yun Xuefei bent down to enter the car and was about to pull on the seatbelt when a slender hand reached out first, pulled the seatbelt across her body, and clicked it into place.
She gazed at the man’s focused and silent profile, feeling a sudden pang in her heart, and quickly looked away.
Huo Yanzhao gave her a glance, smiled faintly, stepped back out of the car, closed the door, walked around to the other side, and got into the driver’s seat.
As he started the car, he suddenly spoke, "That child is gone."
Yun Xuefei did not react at first, pausing before asking, "What?"
"That child..." Huo Yanzhao’s voice was hoarse, "the one in Sun Qiuran’s belly is gone. She’s already returned to her hometown and won’t easily set foot in Yanzhou City’s soil again."
Yun Xuefei couldn’t clearly express her feelings at the moment.
