The little guy nestled in his arms and obediently nodded, "Okay, Daddy."
That "Daddy" was called out incredibly naturally, and it couldn’t have been more fitting for the scene at hand.
The little guy was pretty clever. He Jingyao looked down at him and saw he still looked half asleep.
This way, he seemed even more credible.
He couldn’t help but smile, walked into the dining room, and placed him on a chair.
On the other side, He Yirong caught up as if waking from a dream, "You little brat, you better explain what’s going on here!"
"You already have a grandson; that’s what’s going on." He Jingyao looked at He Yirong with a slight smile, "And this child’s mother is Zhixi, right, Xiaobao?"
As he said this, he cast a meaningful glance at the little guy.

"How would I trick you?" He Jingyao replied with a calm smile, "I had no idea you would come today, and I certainly wouldn’t raise a child by my side just for that. Do you think I would do such a thing?"
He Yirong seemed to be convinced; he rubbed his temples with a complicated mood.
Just as he worried about this guy not having an heir, he suddenly presented a three- or four-year-old child.
"...And the woman?" He Yirong took a deep breath, "Is she really the child’s mother?"
"Who else do you think could bear me a child?" He Jingyao cast a sidelong glance at him.
He Yirong frowned, "If that’s the case, where is she? The mother let you take care of the child?"
"Didn’t I say, she’s not willing to marry me right now?" He Jingyao picked up a knife and fork, his tone teasing, "You better pray that I get the mother of the child back soon."

He had never cared for Su Zixi, even less so now. If the child really was born by Su Zixi, then so be it, but He Yirong felt there was more to it.
He always suspected that He Jingyao was deceiving him again, and this wasn’t the first time the kid had done something !
He thought with a scowl.
"Right, she’s indeed not the daughter of Mr. President, but the daughter of Duke Leslie from Country S." He Jingyao said this while pushing the milk towards Xiaobao.
He Yirong’s expression crumbled again.
"One minute it’s the President, the next it’s Duke Leslie, and then there’s Su Guo’an." He took a deep breath, "How many fathers does she have, exactly?"
"That’s not important," He Jingyao smiled lightly, "What’s important is, she is Xiaobao’s mother, right Xiaobao?"
