Uncle Li had been rather unusually excited these past two days.
Especially when he looked at Xiaobao, his expression was so tender and affectionate that his gaze seemed to melt the little guy.
The reason was that day.
He Jingyao was having lunch with Xiaobao, with Uncle Li by his side pouring coffee, when He Jingyao suddenly blurted out, "Uncle Li, do you think Xiaobao looks like me?"
Uncle Li was taken aback for a moment, glanced at He Jingyao, then at the little guy: "Perhaps... um... there is a resemblance."
"Resemblance is resemblance," He Jingyao’s brows moved slightly, seemingly displeased, "He’s my son, isn’t it natural for him to look like me?"
Uncle Li was so surprised he almost threw the coffee pot he was holding!

He Yirong had come over to the kitchen, so Uncle Li was unaware of what transpired afterward.

Xiaobao raised his hand to express his opinion, "I want toys!"

Uncle Li also purchased a large quantity of children’s clothes, considering Xiaobao’s growing body; perhaps many clothes would become too small before he had the chance to wear them.
Every day, Xiaobao was happily playing with all sorts of new toys, even reminiscing about his mom less often.
So, when He Jingyao got off work that day, he saw his son lying on the carpet, concentrating on building with blocks.
He raised an eyebrow and walked over to scoop up the little guy.
"Oh no!" Xiaobao’s voice was full of regret, "I wasn’t finished yet!"
"Apart from playing with toys every day, what else do you do, huh?" He Jingyao flicked his forehead, "I seem to have been too indulgent with you these past days."
