He Yirong felt a stir in his heart, yet his face betrayed no emotion.
He didn’t speak, but he was silently praying the child would come to him.
Xiaobao really did come over hesitantly, his face filled with curiosity.
"Grandpa, are you really my grandpa?" Xiaobao asked.

He Yirong looked down at Xiaobao’s lovely little face, his heart softened, and he squeezed out two words from his throat, "No."
"But you never smile at me." Xiaobao’s small mouth pouted, "Granddad likes me, Granny also likes me, Aunt also likes me, Uncle also likes me."
As he spoke, he looked at He Yirong with eager eyes, implying everyone likes me, so why don’t you?
He Yirong found himself feeling a sense of urgency from the child’s words.
What if at the end of the day, he, the grandfather, ranked the lowest in the little guy’s heart?
In the room, He Jingyao had calmed down.
He bent down and gently kissed Zhixi’s forehead, "Will you come back to Yanzhou City with me?"
Zhixi smiled and nodded her head.
The two of them returned to the living room, only to find that Xiaobao was snuggled up in front of He Yirong, and whatever Xiaobao had said, He Yirong couldn’t hold back and was smiling warmly and affectionately.
But as soon as he saw He Jingyao and Zhixi come out, he quickly withdrew his smile and resumed his stern expression.

Up front, He Yirong hearing Xiaobao’s soft and sweet voice, couldn’t help but feel a tinge of desolation in his heart.
