War once again arrived in the Gipan Kingdom. However, this time, it is not a war between brothers. This time, it is a war between two territories that are separated by the ocean. It might sound very costly, and that is true to anyone other than the Gipan Kingdom.
Why? The key reason for this war is the world’s greatest and most powerful druid.
With a wave of his hand, he summons a massive tree and shapes the tree into a massive ship. The tree cannot be burned and is even stronger than a stone wall.
With their transport taken care of without the kingdom having to spend money on it, the others start to fill the ship with everything they need for their voyage. Gwyndolin then creates a magical formation that prevents the food from spoiling.
With everything done and they are ready to depart, King Hernandes approaches Gwyndolin and says.
"Grandmaster Gwyndolin, let us be the ones handling this matter."
"What?"
"I know you are angry and want to attack them, but let us be the first ones to try to attack them. I will be honest with you. I want to show that you are not the only reason why the Gipan Kingdom won the two wars we are having. Let us prove ourselves, and when we are losing, you can enter the battlefield. We also need someone to defend the kingdom while we march to battle on another continent."
Gwyn looks at the king for a second and nods his head. He understands his reasoning and decides to follow it.
"Very well. I understand. Please take this, Your Highness."
Gwyn takes out a scroll from his Guild Vault and gives it to King Hernandes.
"This is a scroll of summoning. Give this to the Grand Marshal of the army. When they are on the brink of defeat, rip the scroll, and I will appear there in a flash."
"I see. I understand. I shall give this to the Grand Marshal, then. What will you do while we are marching?"
"As you said, I will be the defender of the kingdom. That means, I need to check the capital and maybe put a few barriers around the city."
"Please inform me before you put on any barrier. The Royal Magicians will go nuts if there is a barrier that appears out of nowhere."
"I will, your highness."
Gwyn nods his head and teleports away. He arrives next to Jullian and Jonathan, who are preparing to depart for war.
"Lord Gwyn!"
"My Lord."
Gwyn waves his hand and says.
"I come here to inform the two of you that I will not join the war."
The two of them look at Gwyn and nod their heads. The Cunningham Family already has a plan. In fact, Tiamat’s involvement is also part of the plan. In fact, he is already planning not to get involved in this war, other in the worst case, or if the opponent decides to invade the Gipan Kingdom.
Truthfully, he does not want to involve Tiamat in this mess, but she hears about what is happening and decides to get herself involved.
She told him that she would do something to make sure no other countries try to interfere. That is why she stays in the Heavenly Realm and prepares to do whatever it is she has in mind. Gwyn does not know what she is preparing, but she has a bad feeling about it.
Not because it will be bad for him or his family, but rather it will be a headache later down the line, and he would rather not have that kind of problem. Sadly, there is nothing he can do, especially when he sees the fire inside Tiamat’s eyes.
Gwyn and the others do not know this, but Tiamat is willing to go this far because Gwyn and his family are the first to willingly accept her as a member of their family. Even her own children hesitate to get close to her. They betrayed her in the past to ascend to a greater being and hurt her.
They do not want to see her even after she forgives them, and it hurts more to her than her children using her to ascend.
So when someone is more than willing to accept her as their Grandmother and means it, she is very happy. She is so happy that she almost regresses to her old self, who will do nothing but coddle her children so they do not get away from her.
Luckily, she is more mature after thousands of years of solitude and understands her mistake. She will not make the same mistake.
However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to protect her children. She will not coddle them, but she is still a mother, and it is a mother’s duty to protect her children. So, she returns to the Heavenly Realm and prepares to resurface once again.
It is time to announce the return of Tiamat.
However, that is for later. For now, Gwyn is talking with his right and left-hand men.
"I need you to join the war and make a name for yourself." Gwyn raises his hand and stops Jonathan from interrupting him. "The reason why I sent you there is to analyze the people in that continent. I want you to expand your network and gather as much information as possible."
Jonathan hesitates for a second, but obeys his order. Gwyn gives him a smile and looks at Julian next.
"As for you, Julian. It is time for you to gain as much prestige as possible. You still need to follow my father’s order, but make sure to go all out from the start. Wreak havoc and make sure to gain prestige from the war."
Gwyn waves his hand and casts a privacy barrier around them before continuing.
"The reason why I need you to go all out since the beginning is because we don’t need a prolonged war. We don’t need a new territory. I know the king does not want to control territory so far away and would rather come to make a point. Arrive, wreak havoc, and come with an agreement."
"What if they do not want to give up, my lord? Elves are known to be stubborn, you know?"
"Then, we do not have any choice but to occupy their lands. They are the ones causing problems, and we come to their homeland to end it. It will warn the other that we will not cause a problem, but we will make sure to end it."
"I understand."
Gwyn nods in satisfaction and looks at the ship he made. The other Grandmaster will be at the helm. He does not trust anyone else to handle this kind of ship. Not because he fears that his creation will break, but rather because he is afraid of the ship destroying a port if the captain is not careful.
The ship will not work with anyone other than that person. Anyone who tries to take over will be punished by the defensive mechanism he placed inside the ship.
He turns toward his trusted men and gives them one last command.
"Go and spread the name of the Cunningham Family. Show the world that our family has fangs and is ready to bite."
"Yes, Lord Gwyndolin!"
"Yes, my lord!"
