Prince An’s Mansion was divided into three roads— centre, east and west. Merely the garden on the East Road was larger than Prince Jin’s entire Mansion. Mu Mingtang and Xie Xuanchen live in the Yulin Palace on the Centre Road, so the couple wouldn’t be able to hear any noise coming from outside the residence. Jiang Mingwei’s worry was nothing more than overestimating herself.
Mu Mingtang couldn’t feel any changes from their neighbours at all. Recently, Xie Xuanchen went to practise his martial skills and since Mu Mingtang was rather bored, she often ran to the martial arts field on West Road.
Other servants also liked to go to the martial arts arena, let alone Mu Mingtang. Although Xie Xuanchen was pretty intimidating, he was still a martial arts genius whose name was famous all over the world. The scenes of his martial arts training couldn’t be missed.
Xie Xuanchen was going to practise today, so he wore a black shirt with narrow sleeves and his hair was also tied up and secured with a crown. The slender and handsome young man was wielding a sword in the sun and every move he made was full of vigour without any pretensions. His strength looked great, but his movements were not clumsy. Instead, he strode on swiftly and fiercely. His body moved nimbly as his lean limbs made powerful strokes.
Mu Mingtang sat on the railing and watched for a while before she sighed silently, noting that Xie Xuanchen’s waist was too thin. She remembered that when she helped him change his clothes before, she had measured it with her own hands. He was incredibly thin and the feeling of it was pretty good as well.
As a woman, Mu Mingtang felt oddly threatened.
Mu Mingtang thought about it for a while before she suddenly saw Xie Xuanchen put down the blade in his hand, heading to change a weapon from the rack. After playing with a couple of weapons in his hands a few times, he replaced it with a new one.
…What? Do you want to show off how many weapons you have?
Mu Mingtang clicked her tongue softly and said, “It’s better to have quality than quantity. If they are all the same, why do you keep changing it?”
Xie Xuanchen turned his head and saw Mu Mingtang sitting on the railing. Her long skirt stacked to the ground like a crabapple tree in full bloom.
Xie Xuanchen simply put down his weapon and said to Mu Mingtang, “Each sword has a different weight. If it is a light weapon, you can feel the suitability of it rather soon, but it would be less effective in battles. Therefore, a weapon that is too light is meaningless.”
These words sound pretentious, but Xie Xuanchen was indeed stating a fact. Mu Mingtang remembered that someone had bet on whether Xie Xuanchen could lift a 100-catty weapon. Later, when Xie Xuanchen said that it was too light, he danced with a 150-catty square halberd in public.
